I bought a new Maytag washer and dryer on January 6, 2025. I am 76 years old. No one said anything to me about copper piping. The delivery man came to my house a week later never said a word about copper pipe. They told me that my hoses that I purchased were too short. They couldn’t install. They left the brand new washer and dryer, in the boxes, in my garage. The next week they showed up at my house earlier than they said they were going to be at my house and I did not hear them. They left. The following week they came to install. This crew told me that they could not hook up to copper pipe for semi. I heard about it. I had to have a plumber come and change to black pipe. The machines were in the boxes, in my garage for 2 1/2 weeks before I had them installed. I finally got to use them. The washer had a horrible smell. The dryer sounded like a freight tree going through my house. I called immediately to the store and told them and they said they couldn’t do anything because it was past 48 hours. The 48 hour rule should never have applied to me because of the situation where these machines were in my garage for 2 1/2 weeks. I have gone through so much with your customer service and your platinum factory service people. It is now April 10 they were supposed to come and repair these machines today. Another day that I had to get up at 6 AM so that I could make sure that I was ready for them to show up at 6:45 or 7 AM. They called at 8 o’clock and said that the parts that we’ve been waiting eight weeks for were damaged so they had to cancel today I have had enough. I am tired of them ramming down my throat that I have to have these machines repaired. I paid $2200 for new machines, I feel like I’m getting refurbished machines. I told this to them the whole time. I’m so unsatisfied with Home Depot and Maytag/whirlpool. I will never shop at Home Depot again. I will never buy a Maytag again and I have bought them my whole life and so did my mother. My bank gave me my money back because I disputed the sale. We’re waiting to hear from Home Depot. Again, I say they are trying to force me To accept repaired merchandise!!!!
I have contacted the Better Business Bureau. I will call all the television stations next. I do not want to be on television, but I will tell my story to all of them.
I have all the dates from January 6 until today, all the phone calls, all those people that I have spoken with, I’ve even called whirlpool and I have gotten no satisfaction for 16 weeks! This whole debacle is unacceptable, unimaginable and unforgivable!!!
If I could give zero stars, I would!! Negative stars would be too good for this company , Whirlpool and Platinum Factory Services!!!
Oh, by the way, I did have the tech come out, because they made me, and he told me that he would need two men to repair the washing machine and they would have to order an overhaul kit for the dryer. How would you like to hear all of that when you just paid for brand new machines
This has been a horrible experience for me in so many ways and so...
Read moreBought a Husky 52" 18 drawer 2 pc tool Chest. After taking it home we found the top and bottom parts both dented. We had to call someone over to help us unload the bottom part so we decided we could live with the one dent but took back the top part (still heavy) and exchanged it for a new one. We opened the box this time with the employees and made sure this top was ok, unfortunately we should have took it completely out of the box (even though this would have been really hard to do) because when we got it home and did the back panel was badly dented. I called the store manager and he said to bring it back and we could try to unpack another top piece to check the whole thing and exchange it again but that was the only thing he could do. If we didn't have the bottom piece already assembled and it did not take three men to load it up into the truck I would return the whole thing and go somewhere else. Instead I have a brand new $600.00 tool Chest that I will be keeping with dents in it. I do have to say that the employees on the floor were absolutely wonderful and completely helpful with the exchange but I feel the manager should have at least offered a discount on this bashed up product. Needless to say we will not be shopping at...
Read moreHad the taylor home depot give the woodhaven depot a call about a certain carpet we wanted, woodhaven confirmed they had it in stock. We go to woodhaven Home Depot, deal with Dianne who has no clue about much of anything. Without checking stock, first says they didn't have the carpet we were looking for. After we tell her the Taylor HD called and woodhaven confirmed they did, only then did she change her story and actually go to check. She then tells us she can't find an entire roll of carpet. How do you lose an entire roll of carpet? It's huge. She goes back to look with Geo (another associate who was kind and knowledgeable) they still can't find it. Dianne is just giggling about the situation and says they will have to "investigate". We ask to order the carpet, she says they don't do that, when in fact they do according to associates at Taylor HD. Dianne doesn't offer any other alternatives to the carpet we wanted, laughs about the situation again, goes to "investigate" and never comes back after 10+ minutes. We finally got tired of dealing with her so we decided to take our business to Lowes. This...
