Jersey Giant Submarine — Restaurant in Woodhaven

Read the reviews complaining about the bread but decided to give it a try. Jersey mikes was my original choice. Well the bread is horrible. It completely destroyed the sandwich. I honestly just took everything off and used my own bread as crazy as that sounds but thats how bad it was. Its old its stale its like eating paper. They really need to rethink their bread supplier since they dont have their own. Jersey mikes knocks them out of the park. For now im convinced they have the superior sandwiches and they are in the same spot. If they get really good fresh bread they could be up there with the best. But for now its like gas station subs. I still cant stop hating my self for not going to jersey mikes😅 but better to try out different stuff and find out the hard way. Hit or miss i guess. Be warned. They rarely have their full menu. It’s a solid sandwich, but they only have their full compliment of toppings and breads and whatnot about 20% of the times I’ve visited, which in a way is more frustrating than a sub-par sandwich.

Seems strange to not know which location I'm talking about, since the initial review was submitted through Google Maps at the specific address of the place. Also, the Jersey Giant in Woodhaven is literally the only Jersey Giant location in all of Metro Detroit. I suppose this is the type of response a person gets from the owner of a sandwich store that is consistently without.....

First visit was wonderful. Delicious Giant subs with fresh cut meat... But then the romance ended... Much like the sub run from the second visit. I I wept tears of mayonnaise on my second visit it was really disappointing... The latest tasted old and the meat was no longer piled high. This felt like a sloppy depression era sub... Mick like subway... Sounds good but doesn't always taste good. Don't worry though the third time will be a charm. We hope. The romance is back on and we are feeling frisky for a sub.
