It’s such a shame. I loved coming here and utilizing the service. But the threats, the calls, and all the harassment after I literally communicated that I would come in AFTER WORK. A lot of people aren’t always avoiding you. They work or have things going on. So if I say I’m coming in, I’m coming in. I explicitly told them that I was struggling with my payments. I moved into a new place so I needed to pay a deposit. When they’re selling you a contract, it’s buy buy buy. Then you have it and they threaten you over a product that they sold to you with 600% interest. I have 3 items so why wouldn’t I want them? I’m returning everything except the tv. Because it’s already paid off. Never using rent a center. If you can’t afford to buy something in full, you don’t need it. You get into a vicious cycle where a $100 items ends up costing you $300. I'm familiar with the goings-on of renting to own.. moving to Woonsocket and in need of an electric bike, I called RAC and was set up almost immediately by Mike and Vincent. Although there was a slight wait over the estimated time for the bikes to be delivered, when they arrived I was contacted right away and was set up and out the door the same day.a slight problem with a faulty charger was alleviated the next day and when I came in to pick it up, a nice gentleman who I apologize i cant remember his name to give him credit, gave me a new charger and on his own initiative took a few extra minutes to check my new bike and tighten a few screws. Read moreI am a landlord and had RAC employees at my property showing up unannounced trying to collect their property. My tenants are in violation and are no longer in the house. The lease is now in litigation. I tried to explain this to the employees. They contacted the "collections manager" for me to explain the situation. This is when the employee became verbally abusive with me and completely disrespectful. Also acted if he was going to fight me. Once I asked the employees to leave my property, I called and spoke with the manager and was told that he would "speak to the employee ". Imagine working for a company and sending employees out to deal with potential customers, that's how they act and not get fired. I will never to business with this company.
