I took my daughter to see "Seussical the Musical".
She was engrossed, and I mean absolutely engrossed, I've taken her to live theater before and she usually shares her notes afterwards but she didn't shut up about this performance for days.
It was really well done, I thoroughly enjoyed it myself, super entertaininh, funny and better character development than most love theater I've been too where it feels like the people on stage take themselves a bit too seriously.
The young woman who played the child "who" protagonist was phenomenal, both her singing ability and presence on the stage.
The guy who played Horton was also phenomenal, he's an exception singer, was very funny when engaging and working with the crowd, and also had a great stage presence.
Lot's of other talented people, I can't praise them all, it took a large cast and we absolutely loved the show.
Thing one and thing two were awesome, both actresses were very animated and did a lot for the show while saying little.
All in all, I think RISE puts on good theater that won't leave you falling asleep. It's small and intimate, staff are very friendly and helpful. Wish parking was a bit easier, but fot the location it is what it is. Bit of a drive for us, but we'll be returning sometime in the...
Read moreSuper cool local theater group, working on low budget in a low-tech environment. It's an intimate venue- capacity is probably something like 100 people, if not less. We saw Pride and Prejudice and it was incredible!
The venue is the first floor of the Masonic hall, look for the hanging RISE sign and then go through the door marked as the main entrance to the Masons lodge.
Check their site for parking info- we parked just down the road, but there's not a ton of parking nearby except where they direct you, and there's a much bigger theater right behind RISE that might cause a parking shortage if they've both got...
Read moreAmazing performances. Amazing sound and stage crew. The even have Refreshments during the intermission. You will not have a bad time at these shows. The shows are small and intimate which makes you feel like you are in the show. My only critique would be if they could find a nicer venue. The venue is definitely older and dated but they clean...
