Bought 2 pairs of boots from here and spent almost 600$ combined. Had a pair fail within 2 weeks of purchase and they had no more in stock so I took an IOU credit from the store. After waiting about 3 weeks for them to re-stock the boot it came to my attention that the particular boot was on back order for an unknown amount of time. I was told over the phone that I could bring the 2nd pair of boots back (unworn and still in the box) return them, and then use the IOU credit to purchase them back so that I would not be charged for 2 boots while only owning 1 pair and waiting for the 2nd pair to come off back order. Well I drove an hour from work to do the return and the woman at the desk said she can not do the return because “the box is in bad shape” even though I would be leaving the store with the exact same pair that I was “returning” and that “they would be losing money” even though it’s no different than me using that 260$ IOU to buy a different pair of boots all together. I’m baffled and incredibly upset by the lack of common sense and dismissiveness of the staff and their unwillingness to work out a solution. They would rather I walk out with the original pair of faulty boots than honor an IOU and simple exchange. Update - shortly after posting this I receive a phone call from the store, the other side of the line was left open and I could hear the woman working behind the front desk talking to other customers about my situation, calling me names and laughing at me unaware that the phone was on. Incredibly unprofessional and upsetting and I will be getting in touch with the...
Read moreI hate to have to write this but my husband bought a pair of Keen work boots from Walt's. He tried them on in the store for the average few minutes that a normal person would and they seemed to fit fine. The first day he wore them at work in the warehouse his feet started to hurt after less than 2 hours and had to change back into his old boots. He went back to Walt's figuring he can exchange them for a different size but the woman working stated that she couldn't take them back because the bottoms of the sole were slightly dusty. My husband then posted on his Facebook page without tagging Walt's and many of his friends stated how they had much better experiences and were able to return boots even after wearing them several, longer periods of time. So, he wiped the bottom souls as best he could and went back to Walt's this morning and the owner was there, she was very dismissive as though she was already informed and again stated that she couldn't take them back because she would not be able to re-sell them. He was only looking to get a different size not looking for refund. The receipt does not indicate all sales final nor did he see any signs that said that and most people responded that they were able to return/exchange with no issues. She told him that he should have worn them around the house on carpet for a weekend first. He also reached out to Keen and was told that since he did not buy directly from them and went thru a private retailer they could not help-- also poor customer service not standing behind...
Read moreI don't live in the area but was running an errand and saw 'Biker Bob' the mannequin in the parking lot in Hi-Vis gear. On my way back home I pulled in looking for a vest to keep in the saddle bag of my motorcycle for night rides. I was immediately greeted by a female and told her I was looking for a vest. She walked with me to where they were located. I explained what I needed it for. She pointed toward the front of the store and said 'Oh we have a one size fits all that is lightweight and only $5!' It was perfect! She could have easily let me buy a more expensive vest but was kind and honest enough to point out the cheaper option. They have Hi-Vis items, workbooks for mean and women and other work gear. Definitely worth...
