Marc's — Local services in Wooster

I was very disappointed to witness yesterday evening in this store that a small family of 4 who were grocery shopping were repeatedly harassed by an employee over a mask issue. The parents and one child were wearing masks, but their other young teenager was not and when the parents told this employee that he had a medical condition and could not wear one, she was very abrasive and said she didn't care about that and he had to wear one. The parents continued by saying how the governor stated that people with health conditions did not have to and she said back that she didn't care what the governor said about that, that in her store they all had to be wearing one, which makes no sense that she can pick and choose over what the governor has said. The boy said he'd go back to the car so his parents could at least get the groceries they needed but the parents decided they would not continue shopping there with that kind of treatment. The employee who's name was Jackie as she clearly proclaimed followed them completely back to the door and continued to berail them. It was extremely disturbing to see this skinny, pale boy and his family being harassed and degraded and publicly embarrassed over a medical condition that their child has while trying to get necessary essentials. This situation made me decide that I will never give any business to this store again but will go where I can see that customers and their families are treated...

Marc's is a new grocery store in Wooster. It's really so much more than just a grocery store. They have household decorating items, towel, rugs, cookware, bakeware & a whole sundry of items. They have a really nice completely stocked store with just about anything you could ask for. I love their deli department - so many good choices. Their sale prices are always a win/win!!! I just took my neighbor with me on this last visit (her 1st time there). She loved it!!! She was over the moon to get a whole fresh pineapple for $1.99 - she bought 8, she does a lot of juicing + runs a day-care and likes to serve fresh fruit to her kids. With the holidays coming up they had cases of pop for $5.00 a piece - limit 6, I think. Many other sales for Holiday dinner items. Oh yeah, a whole turkey for $0.49¢ a pound. Had some good meat sales but overall prices are average. Very bad check out situation. 2 registers open and lines are backing up the isles. 2 clerks talking near the registers and one opened a registers after being told to do so. Line I was in the clerk was checking out the person in front of me and told me I should go to another line. If I had done so I would of been in lines with 3 to 4 people in front of me. I asker her if she was going on a break and she told me no. She kept on asking us to step to another line and now I’m getting mad. I started raising my voice and I was asked to go to the registers next to hers. The clerk apologized and that she seen what was happening and said it needed and would be addressed.
