I love the Shawarmas here, but now I've indulged in their bakery goods and this makes them that much better.
The beef and chicken shawarmas are quite tasty, and have good juicy meat. However, from time to time depending on when you get the chicken shawarmas, it could be just a tad dry. The flavor will still be there however. They are often dripping with a little too much oil/juice, making it quite messy, kind of a plus/minus area. I tried an assortment of randoms cake selections. The names were not displayed so I cannot recall any for you other than there being 2 vanilla cakes, and 1 tiramasu, there were a couple of other cakes and a cookie. Each of these were good, but the tiramasu, and 2 vanilla cakes were the best of the bunch. Really delicious. One had pistachio on the outside, some fruits on top. the other vanilla cake was very similar but was the better of the two.
I did have some baklava, and forgot to mention the fries that come the shawarma plates. The fries can be hit or miss unfortunately. They do come with a nice seasoning on them however. I also had a brownie but this was not worthy of another purchase. Nor was the big cake wheel I purchased. Both were forgettable. But all-in-all it was money well spent of the bakery goods and the shawarmas. This is place that I first tried the chocolate candy snack Bueno, try one yourself when...
Read moreBEST MIDDLE EASTERN FOOD. All the cops on worcester buy their wraps from BAHNANS, and have you seen the cops in our community they know about good food. Next time you get pulled over in worcester talk about BAHNANS. Their plates are 15 dollars filled with like a POUND of beef shawarma, you will not be disappointed with the amount of meat. Their plates are good when you haven’t ate all day, and their 10 dollar sandwiches are great when you want a quick tasty bite. I been to Detroit which is the capital of middle eastern food and the best shawarma in Detroit doesn’t even compete with Bahnan especially when you look at the pricing and how it’s halal. Bahnan doesn’t always taste the same, so if you had a bad experience once or twice keep coming back they won’t disappoint. I FORGOT TO MENTION THE GARLIC SAUCE always ask to for garlic sauce if you never liked middle eastern food try it with the garlic sauce. the garlic sauce is such high quality and it’s not just the garlic sauce is high quality but the salads, the sides, the bakery, the pies, the cakes everything is to the upmost high standard and it’s obvious that the owner expects a certain level of quality in his products. A couple years ago the beef shawarma tasted a bit bland, but a couple months back the changes the recipe and added more fat and seasonings making the shawarma an...
Read moreThis time I will give only two stars just for the efforts of the guys on prepping the sandwiches I ordered. From the beginning I asked them te put a bit more spices on fries that came with the shawarmas and this didn’t happen. But this is not all. I go to pay and he charged 1$ more than it shows on the menu above the head for each shawarma meal. When I asked why this price change, he said that they never updated the menu so I have to pay more. Politely I tell them that I as a customer am supposed to pay what I see but he refused. I get the inflation, but I do not get how this rip off becomes so obvious. Furthermore, after I purchased a few more items including a big jar of olive oil, (it comes for a price of $32.99) I saw wrong items listed on the receipt. Look for yourselves in the pictures. Why should I bother to go back to this store when these guys including the owner do not even care for their inventory? None of my business but this owner will be missing a jar of olive oil now or more, that it does not come cheap anyways. Bahnan’s just lost a customer from years now. By the way, look for any mouse bites in you bread or cookies. I never mentioned that this happened...
