Pickle Barrel Deli — Restaurant in Worcester

Wish I could give more stars because the food is good, service however is not. When you order breakfast to be delivered and ask for home fries you expect to get them with the correct omelet. Wrong omelet no home fries so you call tell them that you ordered home fries never got them and got wrong omelet they redo order only to circle on receipt that home fries were never ordered. We ordered them, it’s not my fault the person that took the order never punched it in. Call your customers and tell them they were never rung in instead and ask if the customer still wants them instead of making a decision of not sending them AGAIN. This is the third time we have ordered home fries and they weren’t on our ordering slip. I won’t go back there again it’s too much of a hassle. They should be repeating orders back to the customer to make sure it’s right.

Update: ordered again last week to give them another try and they got the order right. So today we ordered again 4/27/21 we waited 2.5 hours for our order then never even called us or apologized when we called to find out why it was taking so long. they are too uncoordinated as a team in the kitchen. too much yelling and confusion. the fact it takes 30 minutes for 2 pancakes when it isnt that busy. is beyond me. then the last saturday it took 30 minutes for a egg bacon and cheese sandwhich . but the bacon is always premade how does it take that long yo cook a egg and a piece of toast and a hashbrown. i get theres other orders sometimes. but the pancakes i ordered today were cooked on a completely separate grill. they should have been done in 6 minutes or less. i believe they were but the waitresses take the wrong order. they wipe their nose with their bare hands and continue to cook. they grab the food barehanded like the egg for the sandwich. not just one of them broke a safeserve rule but 2. i have a managers certificate for servsafe . you cant be cross contaminating like that. i worked as a chef in a diner and we never needed to yell or anything like that and our orders never took that long. i can read all the tickets. its sad watching this place. it needs a real improvement as a whole team in the kitchen. the only thing good is the waitresses . i get you try but it isnt good enough when you touch food without gloves and touch contaminated materials too. i lost my job because you guys took so long...

I had lunch at The Pickle Barrel recently, and it was such a great experience! From the moment I walked in, the waitstaff made me feel genuinely welcome. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal.

The food was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and served hot. You can really tell they care about the quality of what they’re putting on the table. I tried one of their sandwiches and it hit the spot, and the side pickle (of course!) was a nice touch.

On top of that, the prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes and quality. It’s the kind of place where you leave full, happy, and without feeling like you overpaid.

I’ll definitely be coming back, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a laid-back lunch spot with great food and even better...
