My recent visit to the pottery painting place left me with mixed feelings, ultimately overshadowed by a series of disappointing experiences. While the concept of the studio is charming, the execution of certain aspects fell short of expectations.
Firstly, upon picking up my piece, I was disheartened to discover an unexpected black mark glazed onto my bowl. This imperfection wasn't present when I completed my masterpiece, indicating that something went awry in the process before glazing. This oversight is disappointing and raises questions about the quality control procedures in place. It's disappointing to see a finished product marred by an issue that occurred post-creation. -.-
Communication proved to be a significant hurdle during my engagement with the studio. Despite being assured that I would receive a text notification when my pieces were ready for pickup, I never received any such communication after two weeks. This lack of follow-through compelled me to make an inquiry, only to discover that my pieces had been ready for some time. This inconsistency in communication reflects poorly on the overall customer experience.
Service-related issues further marred my visit. Initially informed that my friend and I could return the next day to complete our pieces due to a birthday party, we were met with frustration when we found out, on our return, that the studio was closing early again for another celebration. This inconsistency, coupled with the fact that they accept walk-ins, made what should have been a leisurely painting session unnecessarily stressful and time-constrained.
Additionally, on the first day, the lack of a warm welcome and failure to explain the pottery painting process left us feeling unwelcome. For those unfamiliar with pottery painting, clear instructions and a friendly introduction to the studio's rules would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and it felt like a missed opportunity to enhance the overall experience...
Read moreCalled because it was over a week and I hadn’t received a call that my item was ready for pick up, but my friend who painted with me got a text days before that hers was ready. I reached out to the studio and they told me my item was there and ready… not sure what or how they were planning to get in contact with me. At the visit I left my name, my number, a description of my item and noted I painted my initials on the bottom of the item - wrote all of this down on the little scrap paper they gave me to write my info. I’m guessing they lost it…. No apology for failing to contact me or anything whatsoever. I go to try and pick up my item today, sign says closed 7/18… it’s 7/17, no mention on the phone when I called the other day that the studio would be closed or on their social media page(s) that they would be closed. Frustrating to say the least. Items available to paint upon arriving for the visit were sparse. Staff didn’t seem interested in being there, but kind nonetheless. so overall, all of these things combined, it was not...
Read moreWe went for the WARL fundraiser to paint Christmas trees, I was so excited for weeks waiting for this event, and this place does not disappoint!!!!!! The instructor was attentive and fun, the environment is friendly and creatively inspiring. We had every color of tree in our group from traditional, black, pink, purple, blue, pure white, and I’m sure others I did not get to see. We were all encouraged to do what spoke to us and have fun. We love this place! We can’t wait to go back! Such a great experience for kids or adults alike.
(right tree) I did get all clear ornaments for my ceramic tree (purchased separately) as I thought it would fit my tree/ desired ascetic. (Left tree) has mostly the ornaments provided with the painting. With just a few doves from my after...
