Quality food, but not for the price. Ordered a small veggie pizza, asked for eggplant on it, couldn’t taste or see the eggplant for the extra cost, which started at $12.95 for a small pizza. Ordered chicken wings (18) and given one of 2 each sauce. I find it hard to believe they would give the same amount of sauce for a small order.I asked for extra sweet and sour and honey mustard sauce. The sweet n sour were the tiny cups (would barely be useful for 2 wings. They charged $2.25 for an extra of each sauce. Which p—s-Ed me off to initiated this review. I was livid. A small pizza and wings $43.36, included was a $2 delivery charge which I get if I were cheap but left him $51. I’m still pis—sed so much at the cost of extra sauce that u could barely get a tablespoon out of at $2.25 each. The guy on the phone was accurate, and the deliver/driverwere great. Fast and friendly without wasting anyone ones time. But it k wasn’t so much better than the other local pizza shops for the “extra” prices slipped in there. I don’t know if the extra sauce or delivery charge are listed on the website menu. Bug over the phone I think they should mention each sauce at ; $.2/eaxgh. $5 is $5 these days. Not impressed enough by the typical Greek Izzy, etc., to order again, FyI-!other questions not reject do...
Read moreI ordered the appetizer combo which was supposed to come with two broccoli poppers and it did not which was devastating as they are my husband's favorite. They put all of their appetizers in cardboard boxes that are taped shut. So by the time I got home 10 minutes down the road, everything is soaking wet. Then we got a meatball calzone that had maybe two meatballs sliced and that was it. I believe the menu stated ricotta cheese. There was nothing but mozzarella a tiny bit of tomato sauce, a bunch of melted hard cheese on the outside of the calzone. I also noticed the menu that was blasted to the community is not longer their current menu. The old has specific calzones... The new one I pick up has none. I'm guessing chane in management?? And its not working. Nevermind the extremely unpleasant man behind I counter. Asked 'what so you want' I said I placed the online order, he handed me two cold boxes (online ETA was 55 mins!?!). No greeting, have a nice, nothing. Even if my food wasn't great but customer service was fantastic, I'll return. NOPE! I definitely will not...
Read moreI am delighted to write a review for Papa Flame Pizza, and even more delighted that they are a 2 minute walk from my house. This place checks all the boxes: courteous, kind customer service, a full menu with choices and nuances that other surrounding pizza places do not have, and fast and efficient delivery.
My choices so far have included their chicken wings, twice now, and they are the best in the area. You get so many choices: not just of sauce, but also whether or not you want the wings tossed (something that a few nearby places don't offer). But the best part is the quality of the fry of the chicken: they crispy and tender, but never overdone. I don't know what their secret is with the breading, but DAMN! Additionally, their pizza is really great. I've tried the hot honey pepperoni, which offers a flavor combo you can't get anywhere else: sweet, tangy, spicy. In a word: amazing.
This is going to be my new go-to pizza place, and I consider myself a bit of a pizza connoisseur.
Lastly: FRIED OREOS. Fried Oreos. Seriously, the fried oreos.
So...
