I’ll start with the standard - I wish I could give this location zero stars. After my last horrible experience, I told myself I wasn’t coming back here. But I needed new soccer cleats for my son in a pinch and was nearby. I looked online in the parking lot before coming in to plan out what I wanted because I know the store sucks. When I got there, of course none of the items that I’d seen marked as available in the store were actually there. I spent over an hour working with a sales person to find a pair of kids size 13 cleats. But using both his phone app and the in-store touchscreen, none of the shoes that showed as available in store are actually in the store. One time we found a pair of black cleats that I liked, and he went back to find them. He came out with two boxes and said he grabbed the white and the black one, just in case. When I opened the boxes, there was a white pair and a pink pair. He said the pink must’ve been put in the wrong location in the back. I don’t even remember how many times he and his associate who was brand new went back to get a shoe only to return and tell me that the item wasn’t there.
When I was finally checking out, the clerk named Dalila asked how my experience was. I told her my frustration about nothing being available. Her response was, “ I’m sorry, but if you didn’t like your experience, there are other places you can shop.“ I was shocked. Awesome customer service. The manager happened to be standing right there and she told me that the issue is theft. Funny thing is, all of the kids cleats aren’t even on display, they’re kept in the back. So, unless the employees are the ones stealing, I’m sure that’s the canned response. Lesson...
Read moreThis was my worst experience buying shoes ever from Chicago Rigde Mall location! I won a chance to spend my money on Jordan 11 lows first. Get to the store for pick and you’d thought this was the first time they sold shoes. The young lady ISABEL was worthless. Stood in a line that I didn’t have from the direction of this employee. After buying my shoes and get to car and shoes are damaged already! I’m instantly mad all over again. I go inside of the store and was told we can’t do nothing for you so ISABEL and PABLO took the shoes out the box and cleaned them. With some solution and a brown paper towel! We all know shoes sell out fast so now I’m stuck with a new shoe that’s been cleaned already. I called customer service. They lady was awesome the stores tone changed the tone of the store. I was then told that could replace the shoe if no one came to pick it up! Long story short I still have the damage shoe and idk what to do! Sm real DICKS! For this. Not sure if they back dooring clean pairs or what but it’s not right. Tired of the whole shoe game. Only got 1 star because I can’t post...
Read moreI had a very disturbing experience at this location. Jocelin, the cashier, displayed extremely racist behavior. If you are Black, do not shop here—you will not be treated with fairness or respect.
Instead of providing basic customer service, she deliberately made me wait an excessive and unnecessary amount of time, claiming she needed “verification” from management for something she could have handled from the start. This was not about policy—it was about discrimination.
To make matters worse, the general manager, Ian, seems to enable this behavior by allowing it to continue unchecked. A manager’s job is to ensure fairness and equity, but his lack of accountability makes the situation even worse.
Being Mexican does not make Jocelin superior to my Black skin. Racism, no matter where it comes from, is unacceptable. Businesses that allow and enable this type of behavior should be held accountable.
I strongly advise Black customers and allies against supporting this establishment until they address their racist treatment...
