Velona Needle Craft — Local services in Yorba Linda

I came to Velona as a last resort before ordering some expensive yarn online.

This store is so much bigger than it looks from outside, and it is completely full of everything you might need for any type of fiber art craft. You could spend hours in this store and not see everything. There is every kind of yarn imaginable, plus crochet hooks, knitting needles, specialty tools, supplies for cross stitch/needlepoint, thread, notions, finished objects, and what appeared to be thousands upon thousands of pattern books (and that’s just what I noticed after my first visit.) There’s also vintage patterns and supplies that look to go back decades. If you’re looking for vintage, this is the place to go.

Lovely ladies! They teach classes, have premade items; sweaters, caps, blankets, vests, skirts too! They can point you in any direction and find exactly what you need. Went in with my daughter. First she found the texture/ color she liked and we asked a little about their recommendations and she took us right back to the first place we looked! LoL great minds think alike. We looked at texture and color and the owner looked at weight and blend. Their colors are beautiful, one of a kind. Ours were imports from France in a limited edition silk, bamboo blend. If you listen and ask questions they are so knowledgeable! Their organization is by weight, by blend and then by color. You can find vintage buttons, patterns, books! This is absolutely the best place to regenerate your creative energy. There are so many classy and different yarns to choose from- what ever project you have in mind, you can find more than you imagined. The store is packed with options; clean and organized.
