Powerwerx — Local services in Yorba Linda

Update: They issued a return label so at least I'm not out that cost so I updated the review to 3 starts.

I ordered a Anytone AT-D878UVII Plus from Powerwerx and when I received the device it was the none "plus" version of the radio. I filed a support ticket with them to get the issue resolved and they granted me a RMA request but wouldn't cover the cost of shipping the device back to them even though it was a mistake on their part.

After I filed my support request they updated the website to remove the word "Plus" from the title of the product and then tried to blame me for ordering the wrong product. I presented them evidence showing that the confirmation email I received for the order had the word "Plus" in the product title, I showed them the google cached version of the site and I pointed out that the product URL still has the word "plus" in it. They ignored me and will not cover the cost of shipping and probably wont refund me the original shipping cost.

I hope this saves other from having a bad experience...

Sold me a defective product and expected me to pay for return shipping of it, even after the manufacturer of the product informed Powerwerx there was a known issue with the product! Customer support was very unsupportive and could care less what the manufacturer said. Very dishonest company...shop elsewhere...

Powerwerx's response is nonsense and exemplifies their dishonesty. They know that's not the reason I disputed paying for return shipping and is just a feeble excuse to get out of honoring their defect policy. Manufacturer of the product agrees with me and would not have informed them with a description of the defect, along with pictures of the defect that matched the pictures I sent in, if an issue didn't exist. This is a very reputable company. They make great products and have excellent customer service. They answered my questions and it was clear they are highly knowledgeable.
