It is simply better bc there's no ceo pulling strings from far away. Locally owned and operated equals better quality and care. They make the best doughnuts by far. Light, fluffy, not greasy or doughy. The croissant doughnuts are magic. The filled ones are always well filled. There are no bakers at any upscale shop who can compete with the bakery. The entire team in the deli/seafood/ bakery, are crazy skilled, kind and amazing. All of the homemade items are next level . The deli salads and subs are fab and made with care. The broasted chicken is incredible. Get some fresh steamed shrimp bc they do it properly. They have a great selection and prices on their own smoke house high quality meats. We are visiting the area. I have not been to Jerry's since I was a teenager. The store was clean and presented well. Much different than my early years. Prices are good, selection is good and the deli is amazing. The gentleman from the Deli was great. Helped us order Subs for a family event so that we could pick up the following morning. He made it easy for us, even came out to greet us to talk to us and make sure he got our order correct. Everyone at the deli was nice and very pleasant. Our cashier, her name was Kelsey. She was very professional and so kind for such a young lady. She made sure we had our extra receipt we needed for our sub order pick up tomorrow. She made our really made our day. I love Jerry's! It's a smaller grocery store but they have a great variety! They do a great job at keeping up with big stores with customer service. You can order food online and have curb side pick up. They recently added 4 self check outs, so everything is speedy. Their staff turn over rates are very low! I've been going there for 16 years and I still see the same staff. They always reduce their produce so it's great to pay only 1.99 for a box of Lettuce instead of 6.00. Their meat prices are cheaper than any other store because they have their own butcher shop. They always reduce the prices on their meat so it can't be beat! The people are always friendly.
