I really really wanted to love this place. I live in Shrewsbury, so to have it delivered wouldve been almost $30 just in fees and tip so I decided to go there saturday afternoon and just pick it up myself. When I get there, the parking lots empty and the restaurant was empty except for the cashier (who looked like glenn close from the movie The Deliverance, this is imporant later.) But my food was ready and I realized I forgot to order the tempura sweet potato fries and ordered it right there in person.
Well, they dont have Apple Pay, but "there's an atm right next door". I went out to my car and found a $10 bill and came back in and paid with that and put the change in the tip cup (bc the cashier was looking at me disgusted that she was even handing my change back to me) The total for the fries was $8.40. My other order, I got the medium soy garlic chicken, fried pork dumplings, onigiri combo, shrimp tempura roll. It came to $48.74 with tip.
They opened at noon and it was around 1:30-1:45pm at this point. In the time I was waiting there, im assuming it was the owners that arrived (iknow this bc they were behind the counter). A middle aged Asian man arrived first, then the middle aged Asian woman arrived after. So, I know they didnt make and box my food up.
When the sweet potato fries were finished, i watch Glenn box up the sweet potato fries and then I pick the box up off the counter and say "thank you so much, have a great day !" And Glenn Close says "uuumm that's $8.40". I said uumm I paid you cash (no one was around when I paid the $10 but the owners were standing behind her atp) And she feigned confusion and said “YOU said you were going out to get a card from your car” I said, I know i said that. Then I found a $10 bill and paid you with that instead. And then after a few seconds of silence she says “oh! That’s right. You did.” I know I did.
To add to this, we get home but don’t eat everything right away. Later, around dinner time, my fiancé was eating one of the potstickers, and suddenly stops eating and proceeds to pull a short gray/blond hair from his mouth. I have curly brunette hair and my fiancé is bald. He asked me what the woman looked like and we knew immediately whose hair it was.
We really wanted to say it was a one off bc the food was so expensive. He moved into the soy garlic chicken, 2 separate containers, mind you….(and deep fried probably in the same oil). And he slowly pulls ANOTHER short gray/blond hair right out of his mouth. It’s making me sick even...

Ordered food for lunch was good but cold because it was left on the counter for 10-15 minutes while they were still making salad and roll 🙄 I would've thought you'd do the cold stuff first if you don't have a warmer to keep food at least warm but it was still good. My kids wanted to try it after school so called in order of 2 Raman. Polite on phone but when I went to pick up food there was this lady just looking at a menu not ordering yet but they were talking .While I was just waiting, I wasn't even acknowledged or anything. In the mean time my food once again sitting on the counter getting cold. So I decided to ask if that's my order and can I pay for it. The lady behind the counter said sorry bout that(she was talking about me) like if I said something rude. Then I told her I just don't want cold food like earlier and asked why it wasn't put under a warmer. She said they don't have one. At this point I'm annoyed so I spend $90 at your place and your sorry bout me not wanting cold food. You should've said that part when I was gone because we spend lots of money on food but won't be spending it here! Horrible customer service and No,I'm not going to say have a nice day back when you literally talked smack in front of my face, that was very stupid on your part. Oh yeah heads up the Raman is like the stuff out of the little packages at the grocery store for 25 cents but I'm the dummy that paid $14 each🙄SORRY BOUT THAT! Update I've seen recent reviews from employees that's not really real reviews. They pay people that work for them to give good reviews. If I wanted to keep my job I would say...
Read moreI've been here twice so far. I'll start off by mentioning that I don't normally write reviews but I felt compelled to after today. There isn't a single thing that I've seen come out of that kitchen that I haven't said WOW to. I work in the culinary industry so don't take it lightly when I tell you this is excellent quality food. I know care and passion when I see it. It is clear that their dishes are prepared with skill and special care. Even down to the little details such as their knife cuts are done with attention. Today I got the spicy tuna onigiri and my company got the Jino poke bowl. Last time, we got the Korean fried chicken and a sushi roll. Super crispy, tender, and delicious chicken, the sushi was fresh, and the rice was cooked perfectly. The Kimchi was so so so good that I asked to buy a quart of it but was informed they cannot spare a full quart because of their long and dedicated 10 hour preparation and 3 month fermentation process. They did end up sparing me a pint which I am highly grateful for. It makes me eat this with much more appreciation knowing the amount of dedication they give to their ingredients. I'd also like to add, I was pleasantly surprised that their hot tea was loose leaf and had the toasted rice in it. I highly recommend this place. This is my new favorite restaurant and it is certainly unique compared to any other Asian restaurant I've been to...
