I would not recommend you do business with this company. They are very unprofessional.

The owner Chris Kutzkey-- and another broker employed at the Yreka, CA franchise bullied me, and treated me in a hostile, disrespectful manner multiple times.

A few details:

First they discriminated against me, and upon understanding that they could potentially get sued because of what they said to me, they offered me the place.

Upon the time that I was going to sign the contract, the owner Chris Kutzkey had me sit in her office while her back was turned completely around for and hour and 15 minutes--so disrespectful and weird.

(She had 2 desks, she faced the wall to her computer and wrote out the contract while I sat there for and hour and half. (I also waited in the lobby for 15 minutes while she yelled out the door asking me rude questions and taking phone calls from other potential clients) So, while faced her back for 1 hour and 15 minutes, Chris K. barely spoke to me (among many other things-- it was terrible behavior the was she and Lisa Coleman treated me.)

The place I was given had cockroaches-- (I woke up at 2 AM with a cockroach a foot away from my head crawling towards me) I left the place within 12 hours due to unliveable conditions.

The place was extremely unsanitary. I told them the permanent dumpster outside had to be moved (it was only a few feet away from my window)..or else it is unhygienic, I was gagging from it inside.

After I texted the John L. Scott broker Chris K., I received a text the very next morning from the landlord saying my deposit and first month’s rent is being returned to me, and asked for my mailing address.

So they wrongfully kicked me out because they refused to move the large dumpster- The following day I called Yreka, CA building code inspection on them-- and they visited the building, and John L. Scott violated more than one code, and they were asked to move the dumpster away from the building. (The whole reason I was kicked out wrongfully.)

I was mistreated in many ways, and the fact that they would rent a place in such gross conditions makes is awful. It is awful that a lady that recently moved out of the place I was going to live at, had to smell trash everyday for years. (a neighbor told me the trash dumpster had been in that spot too close to the buildng-- for years.)
