It’s a cell phone store. Pretty basic there. The staff though is a mess. They don’t sell stuff. They tell you that you WILL buy the “attached accessories” 150+ or they just won’t sell you the phone. After a nightmare experience getting account setup with Verizon, customer care told me to drive to Yucca and get phone as it was the only one with a device in stock. I had to get phone that day to prevent getting a future dated bill from previous carrier.
The phone I ordered online got lost in warehouse and after two weeks waiting led to the conversation with care that brought me to Yucca. Care called and confirmed with store that I could swing in and get phone. Conversation with reps when I entered was brief. Dominick and Jay (the reps) went like this “ Hey. You the one that care sent? Here’s the phone and attached accessories. That’ll be about 275 with attached accessories. You don’t need the accessories? Oh, well we won’t sell it to you unless you buy the accessories. It’s our corporate policy and our district manager said we don’t have to sell to you if you won’t buy the accessories”. I told them I don’t think I needed anything, and they said “well, then you can’t get the phone”.
Absolutely not true. Massive violation of their retailer agreement with Verizon. I Called their (GoWireless) corporate and Nick begrudgingly sold me the phone.
Dudes didn’t even ask if I needed accessories or if I was looking for anything. Got super combative when I told him I didn’t need them. If he had at least pitched something I probably would have bought some. But being told I have to? Nope. Left there and bought accessories somewhere else.
Avoid at all...
Read moreSpent hours in this store switching from my parents to my own phone plan. Turns out the guy just registered two cell phones to my name instead of just upgrading the one I had. The next day I spent over an hour on the phone with a Verizon customer service representative who was very nice. He ended up telling me I have to go back to this store. So I came back and Omar helped me this time. He fixed the mix up which is why I'm not giving it a one star but failed to refund me for the activation plan for the phone I never wanted so I ended up having to call back Verizon and get it refunded that way. I feel as though 10 hours (total) of my life was taken away over something that should have only taken two. And FYI this is a PREMIUM retail store which means it's not a true Verizon store. I almost didn't get refunded over the phone because this store is different than a normal Verizon store. If you're really looking to do something 'complicated', I recommend looking for the nearest actual...
Read moreThis post is long overdue. On 8/23, I walked into a store to set up mobile Wi-Fi for my new place and met Jacob. This guy is a warrior. He fought with corporate, no joke, for 6 hours—to get my new business account approved and fully set up.
I was fixing drywall in my remodel while on the phone with him, his manager, and about eight different corporate reps from four separate departments. 6 hours and that's not an exaggeration.
Not only did I get Wi-Fi, but I also experienced some of the best service I've ever received. To top it off, the manager personally drove down the hill to get the SkyUS modem for me and had it ready before they closed.
This team crushed it on every level and never gave up, even when things got tough.
A huge shout-out to the team, especially Jacob. Mad respect! Hands down, the only person from a company who’s gone to battle like that for some random guy who just needed...
