First & Last time! 6pm lobby was closed, no biggie, our family was okay with drive thru only. As we placed our desired orders, each request had notable deficiencies and apologies followed each request. No popcorn shrimp, No macaroni and cheese, No large or medium cups, No Dr Pepper, etc. We figured we’ll make due in hopes that the food would be fresh, hot and good. We pulled up to to window to pay, the restaurant was notably dirty with stuff and things out of place and on the floor. I had worked, managed, a secret shopped as a PI for many fast food restaurants over the years, I figured it had been a long day for them, no biggie. Upon paying, we were advised that they also had no bags for the meals and no small lids for the small cups. The drive thru person was very polite and accommodating, but what a tragedy. This restaurant should have been shut down till shipments were received. With no management on site, no wonder this restaurant was in the shape that it was. When our meals were received, individual boxes and containers as advised were provided. The second and only additional employee then emerged from the back with the dirtiest employee uniform I have ever seen. I had management flashbacks of telling employees to stop wiping their hands on themselves. This was the poster employee for that and why they should not do that. They did have cup holders for the four drinks, but they notable pulled back on one of the orders side dishes as they ran out of fries on part of our orders. We were not impressed. The food was not fresh and tasted okay. I was ill throughout the night (in and out of the restroom all night, both ends), but thankfully I appeared to be the only one impacted. Headed to urgent care in the AM for the shot for food bacteria poisoning (which I have unfortunately had before). As noted. This will be the one and only time we eat here and Popeyes. We expect nothing from this review but pray this store and Popeye Corporate will address these concerns and influence changes to their...
Read moreI keep going back only because it’s like an abusive relationship- maybe it’ll be different this time? Each time, the terrible experience continues, and yet I keep fantasizing about the Popeyes I used to know from other restaurants. First, don’t expect fast food here. You will wait around 10 minutes to be acknowledged every single time, and then the acknowledgement will be to be told to hold on, then further waiting. I am not exaggerating when I say don’t expect to place an order and receive food sooner than 20 minutes - including if you’re the only one there, which you probably will be. Then there’s the fiasco of placing the order. Don’t think the menu matters, that’s just to toy with you about the possibilities while the employee informs you of all the things you want that they don’t have. You may get lucky since there is usually no one else here, allowing you to drive off rather than be forced to order food you didn’t really want. When you finally get your food, you might assume all the wait was because they were making it fresh - you poor fool. I don’t know what they’re doing in there since I usually have to go through the drive through due to my dogs but I do know it’s not frying your food fresh. All this assumes you can actually order to begin with. Literally four out of five of the last times I’ve gone there something has kept me from ordering - drive through closed, card machine down, not able to order anything I actually wanted, and closed once preemptively in anticipation of a storm that effected 0 other businesses in town. That’s not the first time I’ve found them not open for reasons that didn’t really make sense (“it’s hot outside in the desert! Better not open our air conditioned establishment today”) but whatever. Too bad when they are open they don’t tell you everything that’s wrong and that they don’t have before they make you wait 20 minutes to find out. Does this restaurant even have management? I don’t know of any other experience to compare it to, it’s so...
Read moreI have been to plenty of places that left a bad impression but this is the first one where I actually wanted to go online and leave a review. If I was the owner I would be upset. We were passing through on our way home from a long trip and stopped by this location because it sounded good and there were 0 customers inside and only 1 car in the drive thru so we knew it would be fast. Took about 5 minutes to get greeted and order taken. There was at least 3 employees in visible sight. The counter where the fountain drinks were had fruit punch spilled everywhere even dripping down to the floor. The bathroom sink and mirror had black dirty spots all over.. The toilet seat had graffiti carved into it and there were no paper towels or seat liners. When we got our food, we asked for ranch and the girl looked inconvenienced because we interrupted her while she was eating behind the counter. The tables were dirty with crumbs and flies and the windows looked like someone threw drinks on them and they just dried up. I'm not sure if there was a manger on duty but as dead as business was at the time, there should've been major cleaning going on. If all that is in public eye I cant even imagine how...
