UPDATE* this store is a 5 star rating. I was being a little strict with the 4 star rating
This store has a lot of amazing reasons to visit their store! If you are a trading card player this store is a must visit! AG (Adventure gaming) is designated around trading card games. I am a local competitive yugioh player and my first impression of this store was WOW! I was just super impressed by how much time and effort is put into trading card games such as tournaments and product.
Because I am a yugioh player I'm just going to use yugioh as the main focus on this HONEST review. AG is loaded with desirable yugioh product for the community. Also this store is loaded with yugioh singles. I mean loaded. It's pretty awesome how large of a singles selection they have. Also I love how all the singles are organized accordingly. Also they have a showcase designated strictly for extremely rare yugioh high dollar cards such as collector rares, extremely rare 1st ed desirable old school valuable secret rares, starlight rares, and ghost rares. Thats pretty lit and it really is just fun and entertaining to look at and having a showcase like that really pops the store off for yugioh. Whatever the players desire, AG makes sure they get it. Being a konami sponsored store AG always stays stock up on the most recent product in high quality and they really put a strong effort into the game of yugioh. AG is also loaded with playmats, deck boxes, sleeves, dice, etc etc as well for yugioh plus other card games! Yugioh is a players game and AG understands that and they are all about the players. With great konami prizes up for grabs such as ots packs, box tournaments, konami hoodies, etc etc, this store is the ultimate destination for yugioh. Also I should mention that I have been noticing that on yugioh tournament days they play the yugioh anime on their TV. Also yugioh is currently the most popular card game in the store! For really good reason too! When you care, it pops. Like I said...this is the ultimate destination for yugioh and if your a yugioh player that isn't visiting this store then you are seriously missing out! Give this store a chance and you won't regret it!
This store is also big on other trading card games as well such as magic the gathering, flesh and blood, pokemon, and D&D! They host weekly tournaments for yugioh, magic, flesh and blood, and I do believe there is a weekly D&D tournament as well. AG has been putting a very strong effort into starting pokemon tournaments so if your a pokemon player this may be a great destination for you in the near future! I plan on getting into the pokemon trading card game soon bc I think it looks awesome and fun.
The main focus of this review is on trading cards, however AG also has a great selection of video games, consoles, collectibles, and movies! They also have a wicked cool n64 with 4 controllers setup for customers to play which is awesome. Their video game showcase at the very front entrance as your walking by the store has some extremely rare incredible near impossible to find video game items in it. It's seriously impressive and super fun and entertaining to look at and talk about. It's a very good look for the store as well. Speaking of looks...this store looks fantastic and is always clean. They also sell drinks and snacks to the customers! At a great price too!
My only complaint is banning customers for silly reasons. If it's for a legitimate reason such as stealing or vandalism I am all for it. But I really don't think customers should get banned unless it was super serious. All I ask AG to do is please be open minded before issuing bans. Also rethink and reconsider current bans.
UPDATE* this store is a 5 star rating. I was being a little strict with the 4 star rating Thank you AG for bringing this store to our community. ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThese guys are great. We are new to the area, and only here temporarily staying with my parents while we wait for our house to be fixed after a fire. We had stopped by to see if they offered a good place to play, and lucky for us they were holding one of their weekly magic events with around 25 people already there and playing. My son hasn't been able to play in awhile because he lost his cards in the fire. We didn't mention any of this at the time, we just mentioned we were new in town and my son was looking to get back into playing, and the owner himself and one of the other employees sat down and helped him build a new deck completely for free from several large boxes of free cards that they keep for people who want to learn magic. The owner then personally introduced him to some of the people playing, and they immediately invited him to play and even offered to help him brush up on the rules. I don't play myself, but I got to look around at all the cool stuff, and the owner mentioned that they had just moved and were still unpacking, so I can't wait to see what else they have, but above all I am just so happy that my son was able to find something to do that he enjoys. The ride back from the store was the first time my son sounded happy in months, and as a father I can't express the gratitude I have for them. I saw a couple other reviews on here saying the owner wasn't helpful, or that there was an issue with stuff being in stock, but that wasn't my experience at all. The kindness showed to my son today from the owner and staff only comes from people who truly want help others. They gave my son and I one of the best experiences I have ever had at a store, even though we barely spent $10 and I would give them a million stars if I could! Keep up the great work and we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe selection of cards here is not the best. The employees are decent, but events and trying to play MTG on the nights it's offered is as fun and easy as a colonoscopy. I don't feel welcome nor do I have people asking or offering to play. I'm new to the area and don't know people or fit in to any of the play groups. I was in KC for 2 weeks in April and didn't have issues being invited to pods and playing with others. EDIT: After trying for multiple weeks and having played once maybe twice I don't feel like giving any more time or energy trying to fit in with a "click". It's apparent that I'm the odd ball out. Yes my gf and her son are with me, but using that as fuel to not want to play a game of magic? I've been here multiple times for at least a few months and nothing has changed or improved. If I want singles I can go to the Bargain Box. If I want to play a game of magic I'll be going...
