So I went in to get my nails done because I had an event I was going to on the weekend with my boyfriend for his company. I had only wanted to do regular polish due to the fact that I am in health care and my facility does not allow me to have any type of artificial nails or gel polish. While I was in the middle of getting my service done I was told i had to pay. Initially, I was fine with this and didn't think much of it. I payed and tipped the manicurist before they were done painting my nails. Everything else was fine up until I went to the dryers to make sure my nails were dry before leaving. I was told to sit there for ten minutes and then I would be good to go. After the ten minutes was up I go to put my shoes on and immediately the polish is ruined. Initially I felt terrible feeling as though it was my fault. I sheepishly go over to one of the employees and explain my situation and they were able to redo my nails. This time I make sure to stay for longer to ensure I don't ruin the polish. I sit there for TWENTY FIVE MINUTES, to ensure I don't ruin the polish again. An employee actually ended up coming over to me noticing I had been sitting at the dryers for a prolonged period of time and told me I was good to go. So once again, I go on to try and put on my shoes and once again the polish is ruined. It's very obvious at this point that the polish was just old. 3-4 different staff members end up crowding around me and looking at my nails saying that they can fix them. The salon at the time was packed so I felt humiliated as they were standing over me trying to look at my nails and talking amongst each other. I ended up saying I wanted gel polish just to get everything over with so I didn't spend an additional hour there. I was then charged an additional 20 dollars for a "polish change". I understand that they work very hard and I was appreciative of the fact that they were able to redo my nails but overall I ended up spending almost $90. To top everything off once i got home I realized that the polish on my toes had also been smudged.. keep in mind I got my toes done first, meaning that polish had been drying not only for the thirty five minutes I was sitting at the dryers for my fingernails but also the time I was sitting getting my fingernails painted. It was just a terrible experience and I will...
Read moreToday I visited Sisters’ Nails and Spa for the first time, I walked in without an appointment, figuring walk ins were ok, and they could barely fit me in, a great sign in my book. On that note be sure to call and schedule or try and drop by because they were very happy to accommodate me for a pedicure.
My pedicure was a gel pedicure with callous treatment, and I give it a 5 out of 5 stars.
First I want to mention Aaron who greeted me as soon as I walked in, was very accommodating, helped get the water ready for me while I waited and came to greet me after my pedicure. I’ve never been in a nail salon with an appointment manager, but it made a lot of difference in the experience, and helped set Sisters’ apart.
Most of my pedicure was handled by Ping, who was incredibly friendly and social. She did an incredible job on my callouses, and made sure to check on me when my in grown toenail gave me some trouble. Towards the very end, Mandy helped finish off my gel polish. She was incredibly attentive, rolled down my jeans and cuffed them for me.
My toes are incredible and this is the best pedicure I’ve had done in a while.
The salon itself is new and very clean. They use covers for the pedicure basin which gets thrown out. I saw regular hand washing from the employees which shows a cleanliness standard that I love. I am obsessed with their lights, which isn’t a major review point but my own personal take away. They did have a child’s corner with child size pedicure chairs, though I did not have cause to use them.
Pros: incredibly friendly staff, clean environment, amazing selection of gels and polishes, attention to detail during service, and very reasonable prices, less than I’ve paid in Indianapolis, but with far better service.
Cons: it’s hard to think of one, the only downside was not being able to get my manicure today, but I hadn’t made an appointment so it’s really my fault. It’s amazing and not surprising that...
Read moreVERY unhappy with this salon. First visit, I stopped at counter to show my nails and ask if the establishment could fill my nail bed, I was told YES. When I was shown to the chair where the tech was she checked my nails "all was good" then she started removing 1/2 of the nail that was already secured with some type of tool. She called the manager and the manager actually explained to her what to do, and took the tool from her and showed her what to do, but she decided otherwise, and the manager made excuses for the problem she had already started. They spoke in ther native tongue and I could tell it was heated. RIDICULOUS... My nails LOOKED AWFUL, after she tore them apart. I told her to just take off the acrylics and give me a manicure, she was not happy about that request. In the process she started trying to tear the remaining acrylic off my natural nails with another "nail" out of her drawer- causing damage. I demanded she soak them off and she became hostile and rough. Absolutely Unprofessional. My cuticles are still not manicured with bits and pieces of flesh hanging. I DO NOT recommend this establishment to ANYONE. It's ALL about "rushing" to get to the next customer. Obviously I will NEVER visit this place again. Additionally, they make it "bad" for other Asian Establishments, by speaking in their native tongue and "no doubt" saying things disrespectful, which this tech also did with the Asian Tech next to her, regarding my service, as if we are not intuitive. This establishment I give a NEGATIVE 0. As of November 18, 2024 - I will not support any Asian Nail Salons.
LIARS with your reply. You both saw that my nails were secure until the "evil" person decided to tear half my nail off. Before she started she examined and saw that my nails were secure before she tore them 1/2 way off, if she had told me that I would have left,...
