What a great beach. There is always a handful of people surfing here since the waves are some of the best for the surrounding area. And if you are a rock hound then this is a must stop beach for you. The beach is mostly small pebbles and rocks of different agates and jasper. You might even be lucky and find some beautiful shells or that special piece of driftwood you have been searching for. And don't forget the tidepools here. I went at night and took some pictures of the sea anemones with a black light. And I also got a few shots of different sea sponges.

This is my mom's favorite place. I remember she would bring my brother and I here when we're kids. We even brought the grandkids and certain friends here too. We even visited the place as adults and still do. So it wasn't a surprise when she wanted us to spread her ashes here. RIP Mom ... updated 2021 ... Hey Mom! Now you and dad will be together again ... He has missed you so much! Ben and I are doing the best we can ... we have also decided this was the place for our family to be laid to rest when our time comes.

Great place to spend the whole day. The rangers were very friendly too.
There's parking (first come, first serve), bathrooms are available and open to regular public, there are showers to rinse off the sand and salty water
We reserved our spot here so we could grill here with the best beach view and the horizon, also we were able to get electricity here by reserving picnic tables. I recommend you to do the same if you really want to get the full experience.
Definitely a great time.

Nice walking park. Flew my drone here with no problems but kept my distance from the seal preserves ofcourse. For those who are visiting or just need a rest stop and wanna do a little scenery walk this is a great spot. I'm not sure about the rules of crossing the rail roads but please use caution if crossing. Trains usually pass by every 40 to 50 minutes.

What a beautiful park! Rincon is truly a hidden gem! Parking is a little tricky but if you get there early it’s a breeze. The beach is clean and the surf is decent. There are no near by bathrooms or market. The area is underdeveloped which makes it secluded and private. There are nearby camp grounds and the scenery is wonderful.

52 acres of open space. It's between freeway 101 and the Pacific Ocean. It has fields of wildflowers and native plants, eucalyptus grove of trees, walking paths that connect to the Carpinteria Bluffs Trail, and access to a low tide beach and seal rookery. Since the preserve is on a cliff, the sunsets are gorgeous. Catch the sun as it dips slowly into the ocean horizon. The colors melting into the ocean. Perfection. The access and parking to the preserve is free. FREE! You gotta luv that.
Since the preserve is on a bluff, the beach is elevated below. So accessing the beach requires some trekking skills. Plus there are active live train tracks between the beach and preserve. Trains often run through. Always have your wits about you when you're near train tracks. And keep a considerable distance from the moving train. Next to the bluffs are ball fields with actual real turf. There are public restrooms there. I can't offer any additional info on those, I didn't use them. Both the preserve and ball fields have their own parking lots.

Perfect choice for someone who's just starting to walk for exercise. Super easy and beautiful hike/walk with an ocean breeze. Make your walk as long as you want c: (mine was 3 miles) Dogs allowed on leash. There were 2 seal pups when I went! ^_^ please be respectful of the seals and just quietly observe them. There's a nice man-made part of the trail that connects to the tar pits park and campground. On clear days, the channel islands are visible off the coast. It's one of my favorite places in the world to go when I need to take a deep breath and clear my mind.

A very beautiful view here. There is a cliff that drops right to the beach so that's amazing to look at. They have public bathrooms which in the women's there are no toilet seat covers! They don't even have a spot for them so it wasn't just in need of a refill they just do NOT have any. Gross. The trail is really nice and my dog loved it. The day I was here had a thick fog that was moving up the cliff fast and it made for a crazy, beautiful, and creepy view! Especially where the fog slowly covered the railroad tracks! See the pictures.

Beautiful spot to take a short walk, a long walk or just to admire the beauty. We stopped for a quick visit while heading to Pismo Beach in March. Many of the plants were in bloom. Ate a quick picnic that we packed and then walked along the paths for a bit with our dog (on leash only). There are public restrooms not far from the small parking lot on the other side of the baseball field. Super easy to access the area from the freeway and a lovely spot to stretch your legs for a short while or to take your time and explore.

This is a really pretty place to stop along the scenic coastal highway! It doesn’t take long to walk to the cliffs, and if you go there at sunset, you can get some incredible pictures. I always am extremely impressed by the California coastline, and this place takes the cake. Also be sure to go to the railroad tracks to get some nice photos as well! Be careful once you get to the cliffs - they are unstable and you could easily slip. Always be on the lookout!

The beach is clean and not very crowded. Lots of wildlife sightings! There were dolphins and sea lions in easy view from the beach, and at the marsh trail there were leopard sharks, bat rays, egrets, kingfishers, and herons.

Beautiful scenery that is ever-changing due to the climate...sun/fog, high/low tide. look for Herons, Egrets, Osprey, Hawks, Ducks, Rabbit, jumping fish, Bat rays, leopard sharks ...every day is an odyssey.

Peaceful place! I went there with my friends, we had a good time for walking the trail. There was very fun! We saw many wild animals and blooming flowers.

Trail is wide and flat. I enjoyed sitting and just listening to the birds. I recommend coming in the morning, birds seem more active.

Looked really nice, just quickly snuck some quick looks until a later time for going and exploring etc..
