Literally the worst food I’ve had in Albania. The staff was rude, and the entire experience was terrible. Even two days later, I could still taste the food coming back up.
When I first walked in, I asked if the food was halal. They said yes, but their response made me doubt what they meant by “halal,” as they seemed to think it only meant “no pork.” When I questioned them further, they got defensive and said, “If you don’t trust us, don’t eat here.”
After a 5-hour drive, I was exhausted and just wanted to eat. The restaurant looked decent, so I assumed the food would be okay. We ordered shrimp pasta and kofte. The shrimp were tiny and low quality, and the dish had a strange, unpleasant smell. It was completely unappetizing. After one bite, I nearly threw up.
