Disappointed by the Service – Poor Treatment and Ruined Meal
I recently visited DAR Bab Azzoun, hoping for a pleasant traditional dining experience, but I left quite upset and disappointed due to the unprofessional service I received.
I was served by a waitress (to clarify, the one wearing a hijab — not the one with glasses), and from the start, the experience was frustrating. She brought me a chakhchoukha plate without any serviette or basic table items. I politely asked her to bring the rest of my order, but she walked away and didn’t return for quite some time. I had to call her again, and after an unnecessarily long delay, she finally came back with the remaining items.
By that time, the chakhchoukha had become overly soaked and completely non-consumable — the texture was ruined and it had turned into something else entirely, far from how the dish is meant to be served. It was incredibly disappointing, especially given how much I was looking forward to it.
What added to the frustration was the server’s attitude. Instead of being attentive, she seemed totally unconcerned — laughing, chatting, and ignoring the fact that I was clearly waiting. It really felt like I was being treated differently from the other guests, who all appeared to be receiving proper service.
This is not the standard I expect from a restaurant with such a reputation. I hope the management takes this seriously and ensures better training in customer service and consistency in food quality and staff professionalism. No customer should feel disregarded or leave with a...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. From the moment I sat down, the service was completely lacking in professionalism. The waitress assigned to my table was clearly not focused on her job—she forgot to bring the rest of my meal not once, but five times. I had to keep reminding her, and each time she either nodded and walked away or completely ignored the request.
Instead of attending to customers, she spent most of her time chatting and laughing loudly with her colleagues near the counter. It felt like the customers were a second priority, which is unacceptable in any dining establishment. There was no sense of urgency, no apology for the delays, and no effort to fix the situation.
By the time the rest of my order finally came, the whole dining experience was already ruined. I left feeling frustrated and disrespected. This is not how customers should be treated.
I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good service or a pleasant dining experience. There are plenty of better places to eat where customers are actually valued. Save your time and money and...
On commande chorba -mthewem - rechta. 45 mn d'attente .....
