Indian Summer — Restaurant in Antigua

“If I could rate the service, it would be a zero! This experience was awful. We were treated poorly, especially considering it was my little sister’s birthday with a group of 12 people. Despite being the largest table, we had to pour our own drinks, wait excessively for service, and were blatantly ignored. The staff seemed disinterested, and there was a shocking $117 service charge on the bill. When we raised concerns, we were rudely asked to leave the restaurant. The only positive was the food quality. Here's a rephrased version: This was absolutely the last visit for us. When we refused to pay the service charge due to the terrible treatment, the owner cursed at us and rudely asked us to leave. It's unbelievable how the largest table, with 12 people, was blatantly ignored while others were served. We waited for three hours just for our table to be cleared, long after everyone else had left. The staff, especially one Jamaican waitress, seemed to follow the owner's orders and were incredibly rude. Pouring our own drinks, menus left untouched, and being disregarded the whole night made it the worst experience ever. It was an eye-opener for me to witness such blatant...

So this would be the 2nd Indian restaurant we have tried in Antigua. The first restaurant never left much of an impression and we didn’t take the time to review; too sweet for our tastes and didn’t have those authentic tastes that curry lovers crave for.

Now this place Indian Summer was a ten out of ten, comparable to my wife’s home cooking and up there with our favourite restaurant back on home in Edinburgh, Mother India Cafe.

For anyone who loves their Indian food and finds themselves in Antigua I personally think it would be worth the drive to English Harbour if you weren’t staying here.

Was recommended to come here from my sister and brother in law. They gave me high high expectations which I believe didn’t live up to it . Don’t get me wrong the service was good. The food was nice , the peahwari naan bread tasted like a pancake , but it was nice but different , the meat was soft , prawns big and fresh . The cocktails were nice but too strong for me so they added more juice hah twice and they thought it was funny . Would come back. The scenery is nice but the bushes cut off some of the views of the boats was a bummer but still nice view of water and land .
