Amayta Pâtisserie — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

First we have been there for an afternoon coffee. It was very nice, place is nice, service was good. Then we thought to go there for lunch. This time we were upstairs with no English speaker waiter. Me and my daughter ordered salmon salad and my husband chicken sandwich. We waited half an hour to get it and when we get it, we saw the salmon is raw. None of us can have raw fish or meat because of health matter so we asked an English speaker to explain them we can not eat it. Just for this we waited another 20 minutes!! Someone came and we told her on the menu it's written marinated salmon, marinated doesn't mean raw!! I also marinate my fish and meat before cooking at home. So, what a normal restaurant would do? They would take the plates and offer something else isn't it? It didn't happen like this!! They started to discuss, another waiters came from downstairs and act very angry!! At the end I said I don't have patience to wait another half an hour because with your slow approach to everything I'm extremely hungry now. Especially after seeing the plate they brought as salmon salad which is actually one poached egg and some lettuce and also few raw salmon fell on it by mistake:) I understood their kitchen is so poor like the service. Also considering that plate costs around 20 dollars, we have decided to find another place to eat.. It's so pity, it's a lovely place but terrible service plus bad food, it's just wasting the potential. Do not waste...

I was going to write a positive review of Amayta, until this happened: the staff do not wash their hands after using the toilet.

I went into the ladies' toilet: there was only one other person in the toilet cubicles, and this person did a 'big production' (making a poo and stinking out the bathroom). As I was washing my hands, this person - who was one of the staff - came out of the cubicle, walked straight past the sinks and exited the ladies' bathroom, returning to work without washing her hands at all !!

And this server had been handling my pastries just before.

I have never seen anything so disgusting. Did the staff and managers learn nothing about Covid, i.e. the importance to our health and sanitation of WASHING your hands after you make a poo? And this from staff, who are handling customers' food?

It is so disgusting. Please, please, please stop doing something so stomach-churningly...

Hemos venido a este lugar varias veces y cada vez le dábamos otra oportunidad, ya que la comida es rica y el lugar es bonito, pero la última visita fue sin duda la última. El servicio ES HORRIBLE , no importa si el lugar está lleno o vacío: primero hay que esperar mucho tiempo para que traigan la carta, luego esperar igual de largo hasta que el mozo se digne a acercarse y tomar el pedido, y después una espera eterna para que llegue la comida — ya sea un plato principal o simplemente un postre con café! Mientras esperas, si les pides un vaso de agua, ni siquiera eso te traen. La última vez que fuimos (somos extranjeros), llegamos a las 12:00. La chica en la entrada (una moza, es una pena que los mozos no lleven nombres en sus camisetas, porque me hubiera gustado mencionar su nombre ) nos dijo que no había mesas, pero enseguida llegaron unas argentinas y a ellas sí las dejaron entrar. Entramos igual y había lugar, pero nos dieron una carta incompleta, solo con pastas y ensaladas, explicándonos que a las 12:00 SOLO se pueden pedir platos, pero no café ni postres! Desde cuándo en Argentina el almuerzo empieza a las 12:00?!!! Finalmente pedimos el menú completo con precios y luego tuvimos que esperar 40 minutos para que tomaran el pedido. Cuando después de todo ese tiempo le pedimos a la moza que por favor nos atendiera, comenzó a hablarnos con mucha rudeza, mirándonos como si hubiéramos venido a pedir comida en su casa, y no a un lugar donde pagamos y dejamos propina.(La misma moza que nos dijo que lugar estaba lleno cuando llegamos y no fue así).
Una actitud realmente desagradable! Después de una hora y media de espera por mi plato (que era solo un sándwich Croque Madame ) ,me lo trajeron con un huevo frito con la yema líquida, aunque desde el principio había pedido que lo cocinaran bien hecho. Tuve que pedir que lo terminaran de cocinar, y la moza se llevó el plato, y a los pocos minutos me devolvió el mismo huevo sin cocinar, simplemente dado vuelta — con la parte frita hacia arriba —, como si así pudiera engañarme y hacerme creer que lo habían cocinado.
Le pedí de nuevo que lo prepararan como se había acordado al hacer el pedido, o que cancelaran el plato si era tan difícil hacerlo bien. Y milagrosamente, cinco minutos después me trajeron unos huevos revueltos, tal como lo había pedido hacía 1 hora y 40 minutos! Es una verdadera lástima que un lugar tan bonito merezca calificaciones tan bajas solo por la falta de respeto y humanidad en el trato con los clientes. No recomiendo este lugar...
