Hotel Solans Carlton — Hotel in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

We stayed here for 7 nights over the holidays. The location is great. The hotel is only a block from 9 de julio avenue, and a few blocks from the obelisk. There are plenty of bus stops around and we definitely took adventage of that. ||The breakfast was a simple continental with bread, eggs, bacon, sweets, fruit and cereal. Enough to get us started in the morning. ||The service was amazing. The staff, specially at the reception, were very helpful and patient. They made our stay very pleasant, because everything we needed they were there to help. ||The room was clean, a bit smaller than I expected but since we didn't spend much time there, that didn't bother us that much. The bed was not as comfotable as I would like but the pillows were. The shower was amazing. No complaints here. ||One thing that I thought it was annoying it was that a couple of times, after they cleaned the room they didn't leave toilet paper and towels. We had to ask for it. ||Overall this is an very good hotel and I would definitely stay at this...

I am giving it a 2 star review just for the excelent location.|The room was very small, air conditioner had some decades workd but just on/off control, no dry/cool/heat function. The worst however was the bathroom, no way of keeping the toilet seat up so it was needed to hold it with your hand while urinating. And it was so badly designed your pee splashed out on you no matter how hard you tried to keep it at the rear end of the toiled, same when you flushed it. Desde hace años me he alojado en numerosas oportunidades en este Hotel que siempre se ha destacado por la amabilidad de su personal y excelente servicio. Desde el comienzo de la pandemia, y luego de un año y medio sin viajar, me hospedé nuevamente hace unos días. El Hotel cumple estrictamente con los protocolos Covid sin que ello implique la disminución en la calidad de los servicios. La limpieza y sanitización de las habitaciones y de las áreas comunes se ha profundizado y todos los sectores lucen impecables. Continúa el desayuno buffet pero asistido gentilmente por su personal. En todo momento están atentos a las necesidades del cliente. La Gerente del Hotel Srta. Silvina Ramos trabaja a la par del resto del personal, logrando la excelencia en el servicio y plena satisfacción del huésped. Agradezco la cortesía que han tenido al otorgarme un up grade de habitación. Asimismo cabe mencionar que durante los meses más duros de la cuarentena, personal del Hotel mantuvo contacto con los clientes informando sobre los protocolos que aplica el Hotel, para transmitirnos la tranquilidad de alojarnos en un ambiente seguro y lograr la fidelización del cliente. En cuanto a las habitaciones - si bien son algo pequeñas - son confortables y se encuentran en perfecto estado de conservación y mantenimiento. La blanquería es de calidad y la limpieza impecable. La ubicación es muy buena, a metros de Av. Santa Fe y 9 de julio.
