Genuinely, this second branch, first in Belgrano, actually belongs in Puerto Madero, read into that what you will, or read on....
Just a poor experience.
Tips to improve:
When asked if you take cards in both Spanish and English, please don't say yes when what you actually mean is yes but only if you are a local with a debit or Cabal card.
When asked does this dish contain mushrooms (the ingredients listed did not mention mushrooms) because of a genuine allergy, go and actually find out from the kitchen and mention the allergy to the chefs....... my dish contained mushrooms despite no mention in the menu and a promise from the wait staff......epi pen at the ready. They shrugged their shoulders and couldn't care less.
Plus side, others in the party enjoyed their food, if not the attitude of the staff. High hopes sadly dashed.....
Probably would not last five minutes in NY or LA.... but here still relatively limited options for plant based dining. There is a lot, lot better in BA..... Google is...
Read moreDuring my stay in Buenos Aires, I had the chance to visit Buenos Aires Verde for dinner and for breakfast.
I was amazed by the quality of the experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, elegant and located in Palermo, one of the best neighbourhood in the city. When you step into the restaurant, you discover a small bakery and shop with organic products, after you find the dining area where you will sit and enjoy their delicacies.
The dinner was breathtaking, so creative and with surprising savours. Everything is vegetarian and vegan and yet meat eaters would surely be seduced! They make incredible cocktails with wine, almond milk and fruits. I couldn't even recommend a dish as everything merits your attention!
Breakfast in Buenos Aires Verde is also a great experience, they have a wide range of amazing desserts, cookies, wholesome sandwiches, granola & fruit bowls and great juices!
I would highly recommend trying this restaurant, I hope to go back...
Read moreService was cold and not very attentive. I ordered a coffee (double espresso) at the end of the meal since the server suggested it. I paid and left a nice tip. Since it had been close to 20 minutes since I ordered the coffee and I was being ignored, I ended up flagging the other waiter to help me out. I went to use the bathroom and when I came out, both the server and front of house were waiting for my by the entrance. He frantically explained he never put in an order for the coffee and it wasn’t included in the bill. I was super confused because the bill had 3 items: the food, the drink, and what I thought was the coffee ($1200) was actually the service. I asked the front of house how much the coffee was and paid $1800 for it (!!! never seen a coffee so expensive here). It wasn’t a pleasant experience and I wouldn’t recommending eating here; check out Artemisia instead where the service is much friendlier and you don’t feel like you’re...
