Panadería Bellaria — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

Went to buy some bread and facturas but was met with the question "why are you here? (In English). This was after I asked in Spanish for the cashier to repeat the amount owed because I did not understand it the first time. Yes I'm visiting from New York and know Spanish but the accent and the speed at which it's spoken here sometimes leaves me without a proper understanding. I explained I was visiting and she replied with a judgemental look "oh, before Christmas? Wow". I guess she thought I needed to be reminded of missing my family and being away from them this holiday. I should have left the food behind but sadly I didn't and wished her a merry Christmas and left....

Compro en esta panadería desde hace más de 40 años ya que la sucursal de Bonpland fue la primera y está desde antes de mi nacimiento. Siempre fue lo mejor del barrio... hasta hace un tiempo: las facturas y los panes siguen siendo muy buenos. El resto de la pastelería, panadería y atención mediocre. El otro día me pasó algo muy desagradable: hice un pedido por wapp: no solamente que me cobraron el envío, que en ningún lado lo dice (250 $ por 6 cuadras), sino que el pedido me llegó incompleto. Me faltaban panes de queso que salen 650$. Cuando lo reclamé me dijeron: "revisó bien? porque estamos seguros que lo mandamos"... La verdad que me cayó muy mal ya que ellos hicieron las cosas mal y la aprovechadora parecía yo. Si estaban tan seguros evidentemente se lo quedó el chico del delivery, pero antes de decirme que revisara una bolsa de 4 artículos donde faltaba uno (muy notorio por cierto) hubieran consultado. Me quedé con una muy mala sensación, la cual empeoró cuando probé los panes de queso que de gusto a queso no tenían nada y el budín de limón que era un budín común de vainilla con una cubierta de azúcar con 3 cascaritas de limón pegadas. Hace poco compré masas secas y también me ensarté. Ahora si: los precios por las nubes como si fueran la mejor panadería del barrio. Muy mal... la verdad bajó muchísimo la calidad, el gusto (quizás deberían rever al pastelero) y...

Randomly stopped here over the weekend, the ladies who worked here were so friendly and helpful from the minute I entered.
