Desnivel is my absolute favourite restaurant in Buenos Aires. Went there twice, and would go there forever.
It's about everything: you see the grill as you enter the place, it's cosy, simple, the walls are full of photos, symbols, scarves. The servers are the best, they make recommendations as if they knew you before, they will write you down the name of the best dulce de leche on the nearby supermarket, and they will point out also the kiosko for the best alfajores.
Then - the food.
🥩 We chose two different cuts for our grilled meat - Ojo de bife (rib eye) and Bife de Chorizo. Both "al punto", because you trust this people to treat meat properly. Amazing quality and preparation, perfect portions.
🧀🍅 I also wanted to try the Milanesa Napolitana (sounds very Italian) somewhere in Buenos Aires. I chose to do it here, and did not regret it. The portion is huge! It's a breaded fried thin steak, with ham, lots of melted cheese and tomato. It's so so good!
🍮 The best way to end. I had seen pictures of this pudding sided with two spoons of dulce de leche. I had to. If you come to Desnivel, ask for it. This will make the best long lasting memories of Buenos Aires, and this is probably the moment you decide that this is the best place.
I will miss Desnivel for ever. Thank you for this...
Read moreGotta try a good parilla while in BA. Came in a week day based on good reviews. Casual feel, was seated right away around 8 pm. Plenty of tables. The restaurant felt busy. Nice lively ambiance. No music piped in so good for conversations at the tables.
The waiter was immediately attentive. I kept trying to practice my Spanish but he kept answering in English. I ordered a bife de chorizo Mariposa, medium rare ( Argentinians eat their meat we'll done). Got a glass of Malbec. You automatically get a basket of bread on the table.
The huge steak arrived looking impressive . It was flavorful. However salt and pepper to taste as it's not really that seasoned. The steak is very thick so portions of it were pretty rare even for my taste. A large portion of this particular cut ended up being fat but the steak was moist. Neither overly tender nor tough. A side fries and I was stuffed.
The dessert cabinet looked tempting.
Priced somewhat reasonably. I think I ordered one of the more expensive cuts. I hear it's especially busy on weekends.
I definitely...

From the moment you step foot into Desnivel, you'll be struck by its cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The decor is simple and unpretentious, and the service is also outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff who go out of their way to make you feel right at home.
The menu is a meat-lover's dream and its cheap! The beef is particularly outstanding, cooked to perfection . And the portions are generous, ensuring that you'll leave feeling satisfied and content.
Overall, Desnivel is a true gem of a restaurant that should not be missed by anyone who loves great food and a great dining experience. The only thing that took her down to 4 stars is the bathrooms and floor that could have been cleaner and in...
