I have been to other tango shows with dinner and this one is definitely the worst. We went based on a recommendation, but I absolutely do not recommend this for anything more than just to watch the show. The dancers, singing, and music is great. These artists are talented and deserve great respect. This review is solely based on the value of the show with the food. There is no reason pay for food here. We paid $120 per person and this basically included 3 slices of bread, a beef empanada, and some ravioli. This included several glasses of wine and water and a slice of ice cream cake. At other shows for a similar price you will get several courses that include a steak and side dishes. We regret paying $120 per person for the show and dinner, when drinks and show were only $75. The value of food was not worth $45 extra. And if you intend to go, I do advise paying online. If not the price there will somehow be astronomically higher. But the waiter and hostess did understand and encouraged us to pay via the website to pay the price online. Somehow psychologically we felt better paying $240 usd for this meal, over the $430 they were billing us, which would have been the worst scam ever. But moments into the Uber home, we had to warn others of this and advise you watch the show but don’t do dinner unless you really want to simply...

Their intricate footwork and dramatic expressions showcased not only their immense skill but also the deep emotions behind each performance.
What truly set Bar Sur apart was its intimacy. The small stage allowed us to feel like part of the performance, creating a connection that larger venues often lack.

Read moreI just wanted to make the best out of my short Buenos Aires trip, and seeing tango shows came up as my top priority since I knew it would be authentically Argentine. I chose Bar Sur as so many people would recommend it. Well, it certainly lives up to all the positive reviews as I also absolutely loved my experience there. First of all, since I cannot drink alcohol and eat shell fish due to allergic reactions, they were very attentive to accommodate my dietary limitations and offered some drink options that made me happy. Second of all, the show was one of a kind, intimate, and very passionate. I fell in love with the performance of the tango dancers, the singers, and the quartet, and they certainly gave me an idea what tango was like. The tango dance performance especially was very dramatic and struck a chord in my heart. The dancers were kind and offered after-show photoshoot. Although most customers were straight couples, I would also recommend this to a single tourist like I was. Unlike many other services in BA, the staffers there spoke English, so I appreciated it. I would love to come back and recommend it to my friends and family. Thank you, Bar Sur, for letting me wrap up my BA trip in a...
