We found the listing on Trip Advisor and decided to go to Che Taco for a Mexican lunch.
It was a small cozy place, sort of done out of home, with quirky decor all over. The wall arts, buntings, mexican props, the hot sauce on tables - gave the perfect mexican vibes.
It had enough vegetarian options. We ordered for: Complete Nachos: this was a stack of nachos topped with beans, guacamole and sour cream. It was so good. I only missed cheddar on the top. Vegetarian Tacos: the bean filling tasted perfect with the chini churi. Chimi churi was really tasty. Vegetarian Burrito: This was my personal favourite. Apt amount of flavourful rice wrapped in tortilla, topped with some salsa. This was oh so good! Vegetarian Enchiladas: This was completely filled with cheese and tasted really good with the green hot sauce. Margaritas: both the sweet and the spicy were really well made.
The server was extremely sweet. Language was again a problem but Google translator came to the rescue.
We absolutely had a great time here. We were so happy to have some really good mexican food. I would definitely...
Read moreSome of the best Mexican food I found in Buenos Aires. The taco of the day (some type of slow cooked carne asada) was simply a perfect representation of what a taco should be, except for the lack of homemade tortillas, which would make these tacos that much more incredible. Unfortunately, I found the pastor taco meat too dry, but the flavor was close. The carne asada nachos (with everything) were equally delicious. They came loaded with meat so tender it was difficult to keep it from falling off the chip. The homemade salsas are also tasty, however, if you don’t like spicy food, you may want to tread carefully. Compared to most Argentinian spice this was definitely on the hot side. Guacamole tasted off the first time, but we figured it was just the general quality of the avacados here. The next time I went I found the guac to...
Read moreI've been there twice. The bad things about the place are they don't give you chips, they charge quite a bit if you order chips. We got them with guacamole. They gave us a half portion of chips with bland guacamole that was 1/4 whole avacdo. The waitress was incorrect about a menu item which led me to order the dry chicken tacos. The mexican food in BA is generally not good, but sadly, this place is probably one of the best, at least the most authentic. I give it 3 stars because my girlfriend really liked it and the...
