El Horno del Norte — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

Poor food and service. I ordered a Milanesa de Pollo with a lettuce and tomato salad to take away and the guy in the front desk was trying to be nice but couldn't. He seemed really upset at me just because I was ordering something. I also noticed he treated one of the cooks badly so I came to think about the conditions they're working in. It wasn't a surprise, then, that the food was not good, the chicken from the Milanesa was just made with cartilage, bone and breadcrumbs. The salad was alright. I understand we are going through rough times but that doesn't give this guy/guys the right to treat people like he/they do and certainly doesn't gives them the right to make such poor food. Not eating...

These are the best empanadas we've had. Period! They have an awesome selection of 10 or so types and we will end up trying them all! On our visit here we had the caprese, jamon y queso and carne picante and they were all fantastic. They also have a great roasted 1/2 chicken w/ mashed potatoes and a salad. They have a big menu with what I am sure is full of many more tasty dishes. The owner is super nice and they also have some good wine, we really love the sapo de otro pozo. Can't really speak to the ambiance because we ordered to take out and eat at home....

Great Empanadas, and other regional argentinean food, especially good for delivery around Palermo Holliwood because the actual restaurant is nothing fancy or impressive, I really like their beef empandas and the hand made pasta with bolognese sauce, their "locro" is a really great option if you want comfort food and having a break from grilled meats, or want to have someone pulses in your diet, even their salads are fresh and abundant for Buenos Aires standards.
