Im a huge beer geek and I would rank this place up there with as one of the best overall breweries in the world. No joke. I say this because they have a plethora of styles, and every single one is very well done, better than 99% of the breweries in the states with how well they nail every single beer. Their bottled sours are excellent and unique both, as well as very affordable. The hoppy beers totally slap. Excellent light beers. Big barrel program. Everything on tap(and more) is available in cans to go(not crowlers) when was the last time you saw that? Taste is right on in the cans as well. Bartender was on point, expertly pouring beers for over 100 people by himself without missing a beat(the way I like to do it when I'm pouring in the states). Really knocking it out of the park. The food is vegetarian but even as a meat lover I was very happy with their Lionsmane Burger. The menu changes with availability, they have the fresh foraged mushrooms they are using visible to see how nice they are. Terrific flavors. The food menu is rather small however so had to give 4 stars there. There's some other good beer in the area, but this place has -fantastic- beer. A beer geeks dream, don't miss this place!
Edit: it turns out the first night I went they were doing a mushroom based Pop-Up style menu, they do in fact have more offerings(not a ton) but they do have meat on the menu! The second time I ordered the Caesar salad(I know but I needed some greens lol) and it was awesome, very flavorful and unique, delicious! I wound up going here several times during my stay. As far as gear, if you see it and you like it, get it!!! Over the 3 weeks I was visiting the t-shirt supply went from fully stocked to almost extinct! Also I cannot recommend the barrel aged sours enough, sometimes they have one or two on tap, and a selection of several bottles, they are all right on point and I am not exaggerating when I say a couple of them reminded me of Russian Rivers beers, the profiles were just...
Read moreI travelled through Argentina a few weeks ago. On my last day my brother took me to Strage Brewing so I could have a taste of the local craft beer; and I kind of regret letting him take me there because their beer has now ruined every other craft beer for me.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that this is the most delicious beer I've ever had. It does not matter what you order from their offerings, they are all delicious. And on top of that the staff will give you the warmest welcome imaginable, they'll offer you to have a taste of their product before you order if you're not sure yet.
One of the guys behind the bar saw I was intrigued by the beer barrels at the back and he offered to give me a tour of how their beer is made. I got to learn about the process and was even given beer fresh from the barrel. At the end of the night, I bought some beers to bring back to Colombia and the guys there helped me choose which ones would survive the trip without having their flavor altered, and then gifted me a bunch of goodies for me to take home.
If you are a fan of beer and visiting Buenos Aires, you simply can't...
Read moreThe very 1st place I/we had visited in BA and boy were we lucky to stumble upon it! The place looks really cool inside, have a comfy terrace outside on the street. The service staff is great. The food was so delicious. We had veggie nachos, warm tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich with ossobuco. We had shared these two dishes as recommended by the server and that was a great and appreciated tip. I usually don’t drink IPA, but their IPA was just the thing I needed on a hot summer day for lunch, so beautifully fresh and fruity. Have one and thank me later. :) Visit, visit, visit. And yes, see you again...
