This city has so many other options that are way better and cheaper! I genuinely don't understand these 5 star reviews? Probably people who never had some real food before. Checked this out because we never tried it before despite knowing it's probably a tourist trap. The prices are pretty expensive but then again it's an american restaurant in an expensive area. Note that the prices differ a lot based on the economy so certain items are more expensive than they advertise.
As a starter we ordered the 'Signature whiskey-glazed sesame chicken strips'. It's actually impressive how it looks like there's so much happening on the plate except for taste... It just genuinely tastes like flour without any real taste to it. If you bite into it you'll understand why, because it basically is mostly flour. Even the sauce doesn't add anything except to make it wet. As a main we ordered the Cajun shrimp and chicken pasta. The dish was alright. Nothing special. I genuinely think you can make better pasta with the same ingredients at home. It's just plain pasta with some creamy and cheesy taste to it. There's nothing Cajun about it. There are genuinely better places to get food in Buenos Aires. So leave this place for the tourists that fall for the traps.
Our waiter was a bit odd in the way he served us. Walking away in the middle of the order, not really understanding what we're trying to say. Even an older couple left because it took too long for them. Maybe this is an arrogant way of thinking but it's an american restaurant and no one speaks English. I don't personally mind but I can understand it's a bit frustrating for others. Other than that it was pretty ok. Not the best service but just the minimum what you can expect. The music was nice tho with it mostly being just American pop classics. That was the best part about it.
Considering the price and the quality of the food i'd give...
Read moreAlthough the ribs we ordered were really good , the service was just ok . but you expect that a bit in argentina , what was not great is that it was freezing cold with the aircon on, which they said they couldn't control , some excuse about the mall controlling it , also the menu with photos of the dishes we ordered were contradictory, salad missing and funny options for basically the same ribbs , they have very little in the way of non alcoholic drinks in bottles , and the they charge per person 38 pesos just to sit down and for the free bread which was stale and when we asked for butter they said they didn't have any, this Cuebito charge is now an illegal charge in Argentina , when challenged they simply said i was wrong.. fortunately tips are NOT mandatory in argentina so they didn't get one .. considering its just a USA chain it was very expensive for what it was , i live very near by, im not a tourist and we wont...
Read moreIt's a nice TRI Friday's branch with nice interior design. Spacious with nice ambiance/ music. If you go during happy hour (early evening around 6 or 7) you'll get 2 for 1 for the starter. We ordered 4 starters, 3 of them was good, was only disappointed with their onion rings which were a bit tasteless and came without dipping sauce. The calamari, chicken wings and chicken nuggets were quite nice with delicious dipping sauce. The main course was a little disappointing - Jack Daniel's burger...the meat was a big dry, couldn't really taste the Jack Daniel sauce, the bun was soggy, the fries taste of packet frozen fries and soggy...the waitress speaks a bit of English so that was helpful. No English menu though but you can work out what to order from the English title. They have free wifi so at least you can use Google Translate to...
