This is Mexican food, but it's Mexican food for people that think they know what Mexican food should taste like. It's not good. The chips in the nachos were stale. They tasted obviously bad. The tortillas were bland. They had no salt, flavor, and too much coarse texture. The meats were all over the place. The carne asada was big but boring. It has no taste. The chicken was fine. I'd eat it again but it needed salsa. Your meats should not need sauce. The al pastor was passable but not correctly made. There was no pineapple marinading the pork on the trompo, and the pork itself was way too moist. The tacos were so oily or wet that they broke the tortillas. You can't eat their tacos without a mess happening. It's a frustrating meal.
Mexican food is a celebration of flavor. It's comforting, homey, satisfying, and makes probably the best street food. This restaurant respected none of that. Everything could be...
Read moreGuac and chips to start, which were good. Then el pastor tacos (yes, they had pineapple!). We enjoyed the flavor of the meat and the tacos in general but there were two sauces already on it that we didn’t enjoy. The tacos were large; if you’re used to Mexico tacos being filled but with two tacos shells, you won’t get that here.
Service was good but to see the staff eating in front of the guests and in the middle of the door way is always off putting. However, the service was FAST. There were 15 tables inside and 4 outside and almost every single table was filled and with people eating. Great job! Ambience was fun.
The tacos aren’t crazy cheap but they’re cheaper than the tacos in Tulum, Mexico, that’s for sure.

Read moreThe food is ok. It's definitely not like in Mexico, so you need to keep an open mind. The tacos al pastor aren't terrible either - they're edible with a little salsa. The michelada was sort of like in Mexico. The guac was decent.
Overall, it wasn't bad, but I don't think I would go back again. If you haven't had good tacos in Mexico or the US then you will probably enjoy it, but only because you don't know what you're missing out on.
The service was good and the people were nice, the atmosphere was cool.
PS: If you want some good nachos and beer go to Strange brewing and order the BIG Nachos! The beer there is...
