Food is kind of fine but definitely not among the best you can find in Puerto Iguazu. Service is good, although you may face a few language obstacles regardless of the language you try to use (for instance, if you order a “flan” (same world in Spanish, English and Portuguese), the waiter might understood that you want the bill (?!?!?!?!?!)). I particularly don’t like places where you order stuff from the menu just to hear that the item is not available (orange juice, one of the draft beer varieties and… the flan itself). Finally, although there are a few cute merchandise available for sale, the staff is definitely not prepared to handle the sales of this stuff, as it took me around 20 minutes from the time I ordered it to the time I was able to pay for it (in two stages because the cashier didn’t communicate with the seller who didn’t communicate with the person I originally ordered it, a beautiful mess). Lastly, if you happen to order the smaller size beer, make sure the waiter understood it correctly because I ordered the half-pint choice twice just to receive (and being charged for) the full pint size beer. First time I just accepted it but on the second time, I insisted for the right sized one (dangerous!!), that for some reason took around 10 minutes to come after my request to change it. Never more guys, thank you! (Ambev, watch...
Read moreMy mom and I had a terrible experience with the service at Cerveza Patagonia. On a Thursday night during happy hour, we sat down at one of the tables and went unnoticed for over 20 min. My mom went up twice to talk to waiters requesting they take our order. The first waiter she talked to agreed to take our order. On his way over, down from the stairs, he stopped at the first table and started a conversation with the customers. The second waiter she talked to also agree to come over, but didn’t. FINALLY, the customer table by the stairs pointed at us to the waiters before they finally came over. The male waiter that came to us was apologetic. We only wanted to order beer and after we spoke to him, the beer showed up quickly. Before you think they were just busy because of happy hour, literally new customers were coming in and getting their orders taken before us.
Given how awful service was expect for the one apologetic waiter, I cannot...
Read moreVery clean and chill restaurant with wifi. We ordered a smoked cheese burger and a pork tenderloin sandwich both with fries. The smoked cheese burger didn’t taste smoked and the bread was too thick. The patty itself is supposed to be 180g veal and I can’t attest to whether it was or not but the patty tasted slightly dry and overly chewy. The pork tenderloin however was flavored very well with an onion sauce and was very juicy. The bread that came with the sandwich complemented the pork well but the pork was slightly chewy. The fries were your sub standard restaurant fries, not very crispy and not very fluffy but I suppose good enough to serve.
As an English speaker, they do have an English menu and the servers do speak a bit of English so that’s a plus! Also if you want to come here for a beer and chill, they have a great tv and as I mentioned...
