AL AHWAZ Café pub & Eatery Restaurant Armenia — Restaurant in Gyumri

To all tourists visiting Gyumri, Armenia – this is my strongest recommendation and warmest greeting:

You absolutely must visit AL AHWAZ Café pub & Eatery – Restaurant Armenia. It’s truly one of the most beautiful and delightful places in all of Gyumri – from the warm atmosphere to the unbelievably delicious food and the incredibly kind people who run it.

The owners are wonderful Syrians from Aleppo, and their hospitality is unmatched. The burger, ice cream, and fresh juices are out of this world – every bite and sip is bursting with flavor.

The vibe inside the café is cozy, welcoming, and full of charm. I genuinely loved everything about this place – the food, the people, the ambiance – all of it.

Al Ahwaz is probably my favorite restaurant in Gyumri. Their friendly service, charming atmosphere, and delicious food is consistent and reliable. The owners’ origins from Syria are pronounced in their hospitality and overall quality of business. I tried their Fatte for the first time recently and fell in love. They offer attention to detail in their foods and you can taste the love they cook with. There is truly something for everyone on the menu. The drink menu is extensive, and I particularly recommend their smoothies on warmer days. Ahwaz also sells a variety of products like teas and jams-also delicious. Their rose jam tastes almost exactly like what I grew up with. I would give 6 stars...

I was practically the only one when I had gone and mind that I was out there eating along. The food is great. The vibes and colors are great. The red, green and white remind me of the Mexican colors which is why I had to try the Mexican coffee that they have. Amazing, it is truly good stuff. I tried the kibbeh and the BBQ style burger. I wasn't expecting a sandwich like burger but eve then, it was amazizng and delicious. For some reason the lettuce truly makes this "burger" into greatness. The lady working is also really great anfd kind. Good stuff, will come back for sure and God Bless this...
