I held off writing a review for this restaurant, as I've been caught out before with inconsistency from other businesses. However, now that I have ordered takeaway from Auntie8's a number of times I feel confident in writing a extremely positive review for this new business. I tend to be a creature of habit so I have only ordered the laksa, prawn toast thus far, and tonight I tried the prawn spring rolls . For those of you who love laksa I highly recommend you try Auntie8's. The noodles I was very surprised to find were the spaghetti like, thick rice noodles, somethings that I have never had in the hundreds of laksa bowls. I have tried over the years and I just don't understand why because the texture of the noodles, Inc, with the broth was genius. they were a match, made in heaven. The prawn toast was lovely and the prawn spring rolls were extremely tasty and well seasoned, and the texture was something that I've never experienced before. However, I definitely will be re-ordering again. The service from this restaurant has been outstanding as well as fast The food has always been hot and fresh, well priced with more than substantial portions . There is also a long list of menu options for those of you with alternate dietary requirements as well as a generous list of vegan options . The phone staff have been very polite and more than willing to answer any questions I have had regarding my menu choices. Parking so far hasn't been a problem however on extremely busy nights you might have to park in some of the abundant side streets that are available. So, if you looking for somewhere new for just yourself, or even a large group. Somewhere with a consistently high quality of service and dishes, I highly recommend you try...
Read morethis place rules. i had a great time â it is much bigger than i expected inside & the different coloured lightbulbs are such a cute touch! interesting music choices; not bad, just a strange addition, but i can get groovy with it. đșthey have an amazingly vast (& impressive) vegan menu, almost the same size as the non-vegan menu; & they have a variety of different plant-based meats that are made in-house and you can definitely tell! each one is seasoned & cooked differently.
delicious (vegan) fish steamed buns, astounding salt & pepper chicken, super creamy & rich laksa with well-made dumplings. vegan prawn crackers were so good i had to take some home with me, they taste near exactly like the non-vegan version! the portion sizes are also quite large (most specifically of the laksa) which is something to keep in mind.
my recommendations would be the vietnamese iced coffee (which can be made vegan with condensed coconut milk, so tasty & sweet), the vegan roast pork (literally had âcracklingâ & pieces of âfatâ, with a range of flavours!), probably any of the steamed buns (the fish one was sooo good) & the crispy vegan salt & pepper chicken. would highly recommend to anyone avoiding animal products wanting a good meal! i cannot wait to devour the...
Read moreFour of us dined for dinner on Saturday 30th November 2024. The restaurant was reasonably busy, not overly noisy, but bright. The waiting staff were quick to ensure that we had water served at our table and menus. It wasn't long before they came back checking to see if we required any drinks, which we did. It didn't take us long to choose our entrees and main courses and so with orders placed, we sat back and enjoyed the atmosphere. The restaurant itself is nice and bright and slightly eclectic. It wasn't long and our food arrived and was hot and delicious. Entrees were dispatched in reasonable time and it wasn't long and we had our main courses served. In all cases, the food was very tasteful and delicious. Waiting staff were polite and cheerful and seemed to enjoy their jobs. A relatively quick dinner as we were in the restaurant for about 90 minutes. I asked one of the young waiters how the restaurant got its name and really loved the response, so do ask them. Well...
