The Chef cannot cook meat! Total disrespect for customers I was so excited about having a real piece of meat, one of the best Rib Eye at $39... The waitress asked me if I want it "medium-rare", which is my best cooking temperature for beef. The first dish coming to my table was totally overcooked! Also I was shocked to get my rib eye $39 meat cut in slices (irregular slices) mixed with my broccolis. I returned it and asked to have it "uncut". the waitress said it will be 8 minutes... I was thinking how can it cook and rest in 8 minutes? Well, my fears were right... Second serving coming was RAW! Again, cut in irregular slices. Some very thin and some thicker, mixed with the broccolis. I don't understand. There are not 100 versions of "medium-rare". Only one. The chef cut the meat and could see easily that none of the dishes was matching "medium-rare" but still send it to my table... This shows total disrespect to the customer. $39 for one dish is not cheap. They have used 2 pieces of meat and unable to cook this meat correctly. the chef is incompetent in cooking meat. The proof is in the photos. Billie's Table in Croydon is a small restaurant. You can see the people in the kitchen area. I showed my dish to the guy at the pass negating my head that I was not happy. He didn't even come to see me. I had to wait the waitress to finish preparing drinks for another table. No response from the chef. Not even coming to see how my dish was the second time! As I said, not respectful to the customer. They do not deserve our money any more. We will have our outing somewhere else from now on. I was so angry and disappointed, and hungry as well. I am French and we don't mind raw meat in steak tartare. I ate it as it was a beautiful piece of meat even if sliced incorrectly. Please, keep this piece of meat in one piece! I feel it is a sin to cut it as it is a sin to cut spaghettis! We have eaten in this restaurant before, pizza and pasta, which dishes were very good. I would suggest to the chef to either: 1. Learn how to cook meat (obviously they don't konw how to...) 2. Only offer what they are able to cook, pizzas and pastas. I would not recommend this dish to anybody.

had a really enjoyable experience here. the vibe was relaxed and cozy. perfect place for catching up with friends or a casual date. both pizzas, Margherita and Pepperoni were spot on, toppings were fresh and flavourful. we also tried the herb friesz which came out hot and cripsy, love the aioli sauce! for beverages, mimosa cocktail was light and refreshing, and the green juice was nice healthy, super fresh and not overly sweet, slightly sour but fresh! Desserts were really nice! the grandma apple pie felt nostalgic, warm and comforting while the chocolate brownie was rich, made a perfect combo with blueberry! the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, regularly checking us to make us everything was going well, great hospitality! :)

Delightfully refreshing, bright, well organised, delicious, lovingly hand crafted food and beverages. Homemade, 48 hour pre-cured Pizza flat bread I tried today with Dukkah and homemade Orange marmalade, homemade butter and plunger coffee. I could taste the real ingredients in everything. Brilliant. Hit the spot and not my wallet! Wood oven, homemade and natural ingredients used where practicable. Delicious and flavoursome, not commercial junk but real food and coffee. Exceptionally fair and well priced plus service just like you would expect from your local cafe/restaurant. Nice to see something slightly different yet on the ball in every department. Do try it 😁 you will not be disappointed and bring the kids, they will love it.

Sadly wouldn’t recommend at all. Didn’t ask us if we wanted drinks instead asked if we were ready to order.when we said no can we order drinks ,she didn’t understand the drink I was ordering, I had to show her on the menu. Then forgot one of guests drinks and had to be flagged down and reminded. Waitress seemed very confused as to what was actually on the menu. Was about to walk away and she hadn’t gotten everyone’s order yet. Repeated order back and it wasn’t correct. Once food arrived the most unforgivable act ever was that the rib eye had been pre cut. You never cut a guests steak! That is their privilege. The steak was also supposed to be medium rare but was over cooked and dry. Didn’t have the correct topping as written on the menu. Another guests meal didn’t have the additional item they had asked for. Then barely saw the waitress again. Had to basically flag her down and beg to order more drinks. A very disappointing experience overall. It’s not a big restaurant at all and seemed the waitress and kitchen staff were way out of their depth. Probably should have looked at other reviews before wasting...

I'm giving this score purely because of the service. When we rocked up in the cafe, there was no one else except one waitress making coffees, and we stood there for about half minute waiting for her to acknowledge us and for us to ask for a table. She just said that sit wherever you like dismissively. We waited for another 20 odd minutes for the food to arrive after we put through our ordef. While we were eating, we saw another two customers walking in with the waitress no where to be seen. The customers waited for a few minutes and eventually walked out. I'm quite disappointed with the service. The food itself was good. But when there are so many choices in this little cafe princinct and everyone is doing delicious food and great service, you are falling way behind. I really hope this is something that the owner can work on because I did...
