Congratulations to Josh, Dale and the CAROclub for the successful opening of Bowden Cellars (BC)!!!

BC offers a fantastic range of wines, beers and spirits (ONLY from South Australia!) which can be purchased over the bar to enjoy in the beautiful and unique space they've designed, or the local drops can be purchased in their bottle shop to take away and enjoy in the comfort of your own home! Further, the bottle shop is conveniently open 7 days and continues to operate during lockdowns (VERY MUCH NEEDED!)! I HIGHLY recommend the Moonglow Rosé by Dewey Station!

Don't even get me started on the DELICIOUS food provided by CAROclub! I'd have to say these are the best burgers I've ever tasted, which is saying a lot because I'm obsessed with burgers! I've probably had about 7 burgers since they opened... I can't get enough! Thankfully, CAROclub operates during lockdowns as well (fingers crossed we'll have no more lockdowns though!).

Best of all, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly!

I highly recommend checking out BC and making it your local spot! BC is heavily community focused and a one-stop shop for all of your favourite local wines and beverages, yummy food, and wine tasting experiences!

Bowden Cellars has become my go-to local favourite bar. I keep going back for the varied and ever-changing wine list and the friendly and knowledgeable staff who always make great recommendations. I also appreciate the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, which makes it perfect for catching up with friends or unwinding after a long day.

One of the things that sets Bowden Cellars apart is the food provided by Caroclub. While their burgers are often talked about as the best in South Australia, for me, the standout dish is their steak special. It's one of the best and most affordable steaks I've ever had. The meat is always cooked to perfection, and the sides are perfectly paired with the dish. The quality of the food, combined with the excellent wine selection, makes Bowden Cellars a must-visit destination for foodies and wine lovers alike. I can't recommend this...

We ordered the mozzarella sticks to start (you get three pieces) and two Old Blue burgers. They brought the starter out with the mains. The burger buns were pretty disappointing—felt more like something from a fast-food joint. The flavour combo wasn’t great, and the onion needed more caramelisation. It was also missing some greens and a bit of crunch—maybe toasting the bun would’ve helped. The wine-by-the-glass selection is pretty limited for a cellar door, and the price-to-quality ratio isn’t the best. Oh, and the burgers don’t come with chips.
