Different and brave dishes, good food, fresh herbs and well used spicesπ Perfectly combined ingredients are obviously cooked by exceptional chef. You can tell, but not only tell - you can also see and taste Jodieβs love for food. Friendly staff, good service - all very good. Coffee π Cakes are really great, especially one with the coffee and walnuts and the best of all is the knowing that cakes are baked daily π π
08/07 - New addition to their menu is very nice spiral pasta with broccoli, chilli, garlic etc. Highly recommend π
12/07 - Mexican style soup was delicious, very nice π π Delicioso estΓ‘ delicioso!!!
14/09 - What a great fish dish, simply beautiful yesterday and today π For me personally, so far the best fish dish at MGB ever. Fish is so nice, crust well seasoned and crunchy - excellent. If I have to grade the fish dish 1:10, I would give it a 100 out of 10. SUPERB π ππππππππππ
14/02/25 - Havenβt been at MGB for a while just because they close their kitchen before I get home from work. Went today, and once again I knew that no one else at Plant4 can put such a brilliant and beautiful harmony of ingredients on a plate!!! And that goes not for Plant4 only but for the whole Adelaide and around, there is NO better! Jodieβs dishes not just looks good but are always fresh, different and most importantly her dishes taste great! π Each component has the reason and its place on the plate, you can tell that Jodie has given a good thought before putting a dish together. I would say that Jodie is an artist!!! π§βπ¨ No one else displays so much care and love for food (ingredients) on the plate as Jodie does! Her dishes not only look good but taste even better, great! π Bravo π Jodie ππ Avo toast is great, but really great!!!
08/06/25 - Love their tasty soups during winter, always great and full of flavour πβ€οΈ
26/06/25 - What can I say that I havenβt already said π€ Another art craft coming from Jodie and the team. Bravo MGB!!! π π great delicious food, excellent service and good reasonable prices! The latest addition THE CARAMELISED ONION FRENCH SOUP served with π melted GruyΓ¨re cheese on top of the best bread in Adelaide π π π π is out of this world!!! π π I can only add - BRAVO π
03/07/25 - Rhia π So, you are not just a cute face most of the time hidden in MGB kitchen, you are also a very good cook - very very good! Your soup is great, nothing to add, nothing to take out - just...
Β Β Β Read moreWe had a great brekkie at My Grandma Ben's at Bowden this morning, at a civilised hour of 9am. We began with excellent coffee ranging from a piccolo to skinny caps to an iced latte. We then took a while to make up our minds what to order - plenty of choices without being bombarded by the usual standard cafe breakfast menu, which this menu wasn't. My choice was fruit toast which was superb, the best I have eaten for some time. Plenty of moist fruit and large pieces of fresh walnuts were in the fruit bread which had been toasted and served with a small side dish containing butter and home made marmalade. Our friends enjoyed other choices from the breakfast menu which included perfect soft eggs on toasted sourdough and scrambled eggs on sourdough. The fourth choice which looked delicious was the egg and bacon roll, clearly enjoyed by our friend as the conversation was on 'pause' while he ate his breakfast. Apologies to the readers of this review for not posting any photos as we were all enjoying our food so much I didn't stop to take any. Next time - as I'm sure we'll go again. The atmosphere was very relaxing for a Saturday morning breakfast. We sat outside on chairs at 2 tables under an umbrella in between to Plant 4 and Plant 3 Bowden, fresh air, not noisy, we could hear ourselves talk, it really was a lovely atmosphere. We all agreed it was a great spot for breakfast and a catch up with good friends. We could not fault the service, the staff were all cheerful, very efficient and no sign of how very busy they were at that time. Thanks My Grandma Ben for a really great breakfast. We'll be...
Β Β Β Read moreLovely, wholesome little Cafe nestled in a back corner of Plant 4 Bowden. I was recommended to the place by a fellow coffee connoisseur. My coffee on my first visit was very hot and not as smooth and creamy as I was hoping for. At the 11am time slot I arrived there were only 3 other patrons so it was peaceful in the Cafe itself; there were many patrons filling the tables in the main open hall of Plant 4. Unfortunately there were very little sweet treats or pastries on offer to accompany my coffee and I was told by the waitress that I could get something delicious at the Lost Loaf Bakery next door. I sat on a bench seat against the wall; I noticed that the electrical cable conduit was partially exposed and this seat was really not comfortable - avoid this if you can. The sustainable and community heart of this Cafe certainly is present, and the staff were pleasant. Be happy to...
