Burgertec Torrensville (Takeaway) — Restaurant in Adelaide

My partner and I visited here on Saturday 25/08/18 in the evening after reading the good reviews. The place was quite busy so we ordered quickly and sat on one of the side benches, it was quite small but a good atmosphere. After a while we noticed the majority of the people were Uber drivers and the two young staff in the front were quite overwhelmed with the work load. After about 30 minutes our food (two burgers and fries) arrived but it was disappointing as the food was stone cold. I wasn’t very happy that I sat there with the hustle and bustle of drivers continuously going in and out who appeared to have the priority over a visiting customer. I sent the food back giving them the benefit of doubt as the burger looked quite good. After a further 15 minutes our food arrived well cooked and we tucked in. My partner noticed one of the sauces had MOULD all over its surface which made me feel quite sick so I got up in anger and stormed to the front to confront the manager. I was very concerned as my partner is pregnant and thought of the health implications. The manager was very apologetic and polite and offered a refund without delay. The refund came after asking for it before leaving but wasn’t presented to us, the food was ok in the end not brilliant but I guess the whole experience ruined our dinner and we were glad to leave there. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could give BURGERTEC six stars, I would, because five just doesn’t cover the emotional rollercoaster I go on every time I think about their chicken wings. These aren’t just wings. These are life-changing, soul-healing, borderline-spiritual wings. I swear if Shakespeare had tried them, “to wing or not to wing” would’ve been the question.

And don’t even get me started on the blue cheese sauce. That stuff isn’t sauce — it’s liquid gold, bottled dreams, nectar of the gods. I’d bathe in it. I’d drink it out of a pint glass. I’d propose to it if I could. Honestly, if Adelaide ever runs out of blue cheese sauce, just check my fridge first.

five stars doesn’t even cut it. burgertec’s chicken wings are not just food, they are a lifestyle. these wings have ruined every other wing for me because nothing else will ever compare. the blue cheese sauce? i would genuinely drink it out of a pint glass and ask for a refill.

burgertec is my roman empire. i think about it constantly. morning, noon, night — it’s just wings on the brain. i will happily eat their wings until the day i die, and when i do, please lower me into the ground with a tub of blue cheese sauce in each hand.

I've been here twice in the same amount of weeks and can say this is by far one of the best burger joints in Adelaide. I spotted it on my way to the beach, and after a dip and a sun came to check it out. An unassuming establishment in a little row of shops I wasn't sure what to expect. Man was I surprised! I ordered the double cheeseburger and some boneless hot wings to share with my partner and we were both in agreeance that these were some of the tastiest wings wed ever had. The burger itself was also top notch, but was slightly over how enjoy my burgers to be cooked and lacked a little juiciness. None the less, honestly a winner and I'd definitely have the beef burgers again.

On my second visit I had the hot and spicy fried chicken burger that's on the menu and dang was it crispy perfection. Our second visit the power had gone out, and we were offered a free drink for the inconvenience and wait time due to the outage.
