Dated 17/3/25 at 10:58 am While we are enjoying brunch and conversation with my 2 daughters, this middle aged man probably in his 50’s or 60’s wearing black uniform approached and tried to get my other daughter hot drink away and have to told him off that she’s not done yet , then few minutes later approached my other daughter trying to get her plate while she just barely touch it and told him off again that she’s just started eating as she came a bit late. He then took her fork and placed it sideways… seriously touching somebody’s else’s utensils and putting your hands in front somebody else’s plate of foods is so rude. We are not in a fine dining restaurant to get so aware of how we put our fork and spoon. We just want to enjoy a relax meal together telling stories to each other without anyone keeps on interrupting us and trying to take away our plates while we are eating and not to have someone so rude to try to teach us on how and where to put our fork and knives in our plate. Not everyone that eats in your cafe probably won’t know the proper table etiquette of where to and how to use fork and knives. Just so disrespectful and so rude to touch our plates with food while we eat. Such bad experience for our first time trying this cafe… never...
Read moreThis was previously one of our favourite cafes which was why we gave them another chance after we first got cold food. It is now been three times in a row with bad customer service and food. Not great. Food issues have include poached eggs being cold hot chocolate being so strong it is not drinkable Banana bread not being delivered to the table which today we did remind the waitress when she delivered the other food. We were also waiting for banana bread. The waitress said yes but the banana bread never came after waiting awhile. My partner went to the counter to ask about the banana bread and was advised that they were closed. He then had to tell them we had already paid for the banana bread and we’d eaten the other food. I was not able to finish the hot chocolate. The staff will be behaving like everything was a lot of effort today. I don’t know if this is under new management but previously the food has been excellent and the staff have been amazing. This is no longer the case. We will be looking for another cafe at Marian And avoiding this. As it has now been three times in a row with bad customer service we are very...
Read moreWe love hot Pumpkin Soup in winter and eat it regularly at different spots in Westfield Marion. Today we tried soup at The Coffee Club. What a disappointment! The shallow remekin style bowl it arrived in was cute but when you dipped the spoon there was barely a centimetre of soup in it. (The spoon in the photo shows the depth) To add insult to injury it was also luke warm. I hailed the passing waitress and asked her if she could heat it up a little and add a bit more soup. She was happy to heat it but said the serve size was restricted and she had no control over it. When the reheated soup arrived it was still luke warm. This combined with the tiny drop you received in the bottom of the bowl made it more akin to a serve of baby food than a wholesome lunch. I left the second serve on the table and walked up to Elly's Cafe where we had a substantial bowl of delicious piping hot homemade pumpkin soup for 25% less than we had paid at the...
