Cha Chi's Mexican Cuisine was a pleasant surprise. Upon entering the restaurant you're greeted by a lovely garden just inside the door which features a water fountain and a foot bridge to cross into the dining area. The food was delicious. Everything came out well cooked and within a reasonable time frame and staff were very attentive toward your needs. The pricing was very reasonable and some dishes were great value for money. For example: 'Cha Chi's Lite Combo' is deceptively dense with succulent food. Featuring a full sized burrito, largish taco and salad for only $21.90. The pulled pork sliders I had were very well cooked with fresh ingredients. A nice light meal. I would also recommend the 'Jalapeno Poppers' as a nice side dish or entree. Overall Cha Chi's provided a lovely night out and I will definitely be coming back again. It's the new favourite Mexican restaurant. I would recommend this establishment.

Came with a group of 15 people, half of them complained about the food, many didn’t finish, and I think the rest were just being polite. I order the cha chi combo. Many things wrong. The thing on top is like a large spring roll with meat, it was dry and tasteless. The refried beans, why are they grey? The sauce on the plate is baked onto the plate, how does that happen? The rest was either lacking in filling or the wrong flavor, missing spice, poorly cooked or not fresh ingredients. The lighting is a colorless dim yellow, the surroundings are dusty, one of the murals on the wall is missing a head, how long has it been like that? And the price is just way too high for something of this quality.

Short version - if you think Mexican is ground beef in a crispy taco with shredded lettuce then you'll love it. Positives, the vibe is reasonable and the drinks are well priced. Plenty of space so easy to get a table. Elote's were tasty too. Service pretty quick. Negatives- only saw one flavour of taco and no option of soft shell. The beans tasted like they were straight out of the can. Enchiladas were not pleasant as the wrap was chewy and tough whilst the filling was a bit boring. The burrito we got left us craving one from any of the big chains. Best elements of our meals were the side salad and the Mexican rice. This place is basically what Mexican food was back in the 00's.

Good food, good desert, terrible service and inconsistent menus. If you struggle with spicy food, I do not recommend going here. As someone who doesn’t like spicy food, I chose the Cha Chi Lite Combo, with the mild taco, and was not given an option for heat level in the burrito, but the menu indicated it was not spicy. The taco was really nice and had almost no heat. I could not finish the burrito because it was way to spicy for me. The service was awful, for it being relatively quiet, it took quite a while for food to arrive. Soft drinks and a juice took 15 minutes to arrive. With a person who was looking for something bland and ordered fish and chips, the waitress immediately asked why and questioned why they didn’t order something blander. When the waitress brought my food to the table, she let the tortilla chips fall of the plate, and the taco almost fell off as well. When she cleared my plate, I was forced to explain why I didn’t finish my food, and promise to tell her next time that I don’t like heat.

However, the rest of my table really enjoyed their food, and dessert was really nice. The other server was fantastic, but we didn’t see...

I would give a zero stars to all if I could. Absolutely terrible. Service was mediocre. Food was not traditional. The dips were so small, only a tablespoon or less of each. But they supplied 20+ corn chips. You couldn’t even dip them into the dip bowls. As they were like sauce dipping bowls. When they took the corn chips away and when we asked for them back for the nachos they did return the same bowl of chips but we were questioning if they recycle the chips if they were not eaten. The meat was cold. The enchiladas were not heated. No melted cheese on top either.

The Atmosphere was diabolical. No Mexican music. We were one of a small number of diners and we still had to wait 30+ mins to get our food.

You need to park at Aldi and walk down but they don’t tell you that when you book.

Worst Mexican restaurant we’ve ever been to. Don’t bother. Avoid...
