Awesome place for a drink, great atmosphere and beer selection. Tons of character.
Food is an entirely different story. Seeing a 27 plus item menu, with 7 desserts etc was a bit scary... I should have trusted my intuition as a chef with experience, as the quality control would be immense. I ordered the 1 hate priced pasta. $40!!! At a pub. I was told it's hand made and I believe it, as they rolled it to thick I assume or didn't blanche long enough. If was incredibly undercooked. Not al dente, genuinely still hard and with the white floury center. It is quite the higher end for pricing for the quality for sure. I didn't expect high end food. But when you start pricing basic staples like burgers at 30 and ravioli at 40 and a 250gm porterhouse for 44... the kitchen better be bringing their A game.. those are restaurant priced items with pub presentation and flavours. I won't say it's disgusting, the flavours were OK. If it was cooked properly I'd still say it wasn't worth 40, maybe 30... maybe... but spending that and it being unedible is a bit sour is all.
Overall, i would go back for brews and hangs. But foodwise, I don't think the food is worth the pricing. It's... it's just really expensive, considering everyone's else's plates seems to be 400gm of chips. With 120 gms protein.
If it was aligned with other pubs price wise absolutely. But just having a bunch of beer coasters and jerseys on the wall visually doesn't make it a destination to justify eating a 250gm porter house costing nearly a pineapple, when for $55 bucks I can go to the city and get a woodfire grilled dry aged 500gm tbone in a restaurant...

Read moreBritish born here 👋🏼 I've visited once and I can assure you, I'll be returning. First impression is it's symbolic of a home away from home. The environment inside and outside (minus the temperature) feels like an old English style pub that feels incredibly familiar to any Brits missing that home feel. The rustic brick outside to the interior aesthetic of football filled enthusiasm plastered over the yeh walls and ceiling. Now, onto the food. The serving sizes are intense. You really get what you pay for, which equaints to the 'Eyed bigger than your belly'. I was hesitant to steer away from fish and chips but figured I may as well try a British staple. Cottage Pie. I can't say I've ever eaten a cottage pie at a restaurant/pub let alone seen one on the menu ever, but it tasted incredibly authentic to what you'd expect from a little cottage on a farmers land in the countryside of England. Incredible presentation and taste. I can't express into words how unbelievable the food was. If you're British, Australian or just feel a craving hunger for something different, honestly, go here. From the aesthetic, to the food to the staff, it's all a...

It's always clean, there's plenty of room indoors and outdoors so it's perfect for all weather and occasions. Part of the pub culture you can experience is the locals with their usual spots with a drink and some banter. The staff are proactive clearing tables and often stop to have a chat and a laugh to help make you feel welcome.
Parking has two separate areas either directly behind the pub or off to the left as you pull...
