Gorilla Pizza — Restaurant in Adelaide

One of the worst pizzas I have in a while. Dough was extremely undercooked and had the texture of a stale piece of toast. The sauce was lack lustre in every way possible— not enough of the source, flavour, salt, pepper, not enough everything, it tasted like nothing really. The tomato’s I had to pick off of the pizza as they were mushy and seemed old— I felt as if I was a 7 year old boy dissecting my whopper jr from hungry jacks. The cheese would fall off with my first bite of every slice so I had an average cheesy first bite— then a disgusting dough and tasteless sauce for my remaining 5 bites left of the slice. After I finished the pizza (I know I was extremely hungry) I felt almost sick as I felt like I’d eaten a uncooked defrosted frozen pizza from Woolies. All in all, I will not be a returning customer when I could go to dominos and get an equally average pizza from their $5 value range....

I dunno man, I hate to do this but.. After old mate dropped it off cold I found it looked nothing like the pictures. Signature dishes - $gourmet ones and, meh.. After I added extra ingredients and popped it back in the oven, the pizzas made a pretty good base. Sort of takes the convenience of delivery out of the equation, hey? And cheese?!! What the heck man. It's not just you, seems everyone is doing it, but where on earth is it?? I would've thought it was one of the cheaper ingredients. I remember not long ago after you pried the piece from the box you got to awe at the cheese pull food porn is made from. Not any more I suppose.. Haven’t ordered from Gorilla Pizza since it was Godzilla pizza some years back. Gave it another try on a recommendation and glad I did. After years of swapping between local pizza places I was really impressed with Gorilla pizza. Easy online ordering on their own site. Paid with PayPal and picked up myself. Had a meat lovers for this kids and tried the gourmet “Athens” for the big guys. The meat lovers was great but the Athens was fantastic. Really tender pieces of lamb with a tasty garlic sauce.
