Greenacres Hot Bread Bakery — Restaurant in Adelaide

Got myself a roast pork banh mi. Generous amount of pork. Pork was soft and tender, carrot and radish pickle was crunchy, generous coriander, paté, Viet mayo and fresh Vietnamese bread roll. Authentic Viet roll, well balanced flavour and hidden gem of Greenacres. My only suggestion is that for every piece of pork, please make sure there is a piece of pork crackling (I know the crackling falls off the meat, but I only got 1 piece of the delicious crackling in the whole roll).

Edit: Went here recently, roast pork banh mi not as tasty, carrot was not pickled just grated, flavour balance...

We grabbed a quick bite while the kids were at Bounce. The Vietnamese rolls were tasty and affordable, plus we got a free chocolate donut. Loved how the pork crackle was separated and added into the rolls, reminiscent of Saigon Bread Rolls down south. The sugar cane drink was refreshing, and they offer a variety of baked goods. Wow, what a hidden gem. I am obsessed with cold rolls and have eaten them all over Adelaide. When I asked the lady at the front counter what was in theirs she asked me what i wanted in them and made me a fresh batch full of herbs. They were the best i've had so far. Fresh and delicious.
