Well… that’s the first and last time we visit this place.
We looked online. Large meal deal for $35 includes 2 large pizzas, garlic bread, 1.25l drink. Great. Little sub clause (only the $13 pizzas) but none of the pizzas on the menu are actually $13.
We called up for clarification, after not really being given any clear answer we asked “ok so what pizzas can we pick for this meal deal” to be met with “oh any”.
Ok.
We pick two pizzas to be told that the cost was $40. I explained website said $35, we only want to pay $35- how is it $40?
She said she doesn’t understand, and it comes up as $40. We asked if this is because deep dish? Because we only wanted normal. Deep dish meal deal is $39. She said “oh yes for you I have deep dish” we replied with “oh we only want normal” to be met with “ok that will be $35”.
We confirm our order. Start driving to Yumms. About a few minutes into our Journey we get a call from Yumms to be told that it’s actually $40 if we want the beef surpreme pizza, chicken supreme is only $35. We agree to change to chicken supreme and explain again we only want to pay the $35 not extra.
We get to the restaurant. We are told it will be another 7 minutes- it was about 15. After all this waiting and muck around we were ready to just pay and go. She wouldn’t let us prepay until the pizzas were ready.
Finally the pizzas were ready, a male has now taken over the counter. I go to put my card on the reader and it reads $40. I ask why it says $40 when she said $35. He explained the pizzas always cost $40. I explained my phone call with the lady, she turned around and had the audacity to claim she told me that when you round it up it’s $40 on the phone. She never mentioned that and we made it explicitly clear on the phone we only intended to spend $35. So not only was our time wasted at this point, they also tried to gaslight us.
The man insists we must pay $40, I explain we were told $35- he claims “fine for you this time we will do $35 but then gives us a lecture about how it’s $40”.
After all that nonsense, pizzas were average in flavour and very small. Do yourself a favour, just shop...
Read moreHorrible Experience – Staff Were Abusive and Disrespectful!
I have never been treated so terribly at a restaurant in my life. My visit to Yumms was beyond unacceptable—the staff were not only rude but outright abusive.
From the moment we walked in, the service was horrendous. We were ignored at the entrance for nearly 15 minutes, and when we finally got a table, the server acted like we were an inconvenience. No greeting, no courtesy—just a cold, dismissive attitude.
When we tried to order, the server scoffed and rolled their eyes at our questions about the menu. It felt like they were deliberately trying to make us uncomfortable. After waiting over an hour for our food (while watching other tables get served), we politely asked for an update. Instead of a simple response, the staff mocked us, laughed, and told us to be patient in the most condescending way possible.
The real nightmare started when our food finally arrived. It was cold, incomplete, and some items were completely wrong. When we pointed it out, the server became aggressive, accusing us of lying and even said, “If you don’t like it, leave.” We asked to speak to the manager, and things only got worse.
The manager came over, but instead of resolving the issue, they yelled at us, insulted us, and told us to ‘stop complaining.’ At this point, we were shocked and disgusted. When we refused to pay for food we didn’t receive, one of the staff started swearing at us!
We felt threatened and unsafe. Instead of apologizing, the staff laughed at us, insulted us, and even made rude gestures. This was not just bad service—this was straight-up verbal abuse.
We left without finishing our meal, feeling completely disrespected and humiliated. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. If you value basic human decency, avoid this restaurant at all costs. I’m considering reporting them for their treatment of customers. No one should have to deal with this level of abuse and...
