The atmosphere was nice and the staff initially seemed friendly, with several checking if we were ready to order. That gave us a good first impression, but unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing.

We ordered a kid’s meal first for our child and then placed our own orders. After about 10–15 minutes, only the kid’s meal arrived. We were so hungry we ended up eating from our child’s plate. Time kept passing, and after 50 minutes, a staff member came to ask if we needed anything else — I informed her we’d been waiting for our food for nearly 50 minutes (she was the one who took our order). She apologized and said it would be sent right away.

Five minutes later, another staff member showed up and told us we needed to reorder everything. That’s when I lost my temper. Still, I repeated our original order. We received our food 10 minutes later, but at that point, I was too angry than hungry to enjoy it — I honestly don’t even remember how it tasted.

To top it off, I was given a fork to eat puffed rice (BHUJA), and had to go ask for a spoon myself. The entire experience was disappointing and stressful.

Overall, this was a frustrating experience. I’m giving 1 star only because I can’t give 0.

Thanks to the gentleman at the front who offered me a 10% discount — I appreciate the gesture. But honestly, I was so frustrated I didn’t even want it. Sorry if I came off as rude — I was just extremely upset.

JHAR JHAR POLEKO PORK sanga 2-3 glass beer khamla vaneko ta, haresh matra khuwaidyo yaar naya naya restaurant le. Thank you...

A small group of us went to Nepal House restaurant mid-october 2025 during the week. The young staff looked a little lost and unsure as what to do. We had been at the restaurant for 20 minutes and not once did they come to ask us if we wanted drinks. When they started taking orders, then they asked if we wanted drinks. They could have made an additional $100 out of our table that night if they had been a bit more proactive about supplying good service. On top of it they had run out of lamb, the meat lamb, and then when I asked for a particular drink, they had no stock. If this restaurant is going to survive it needs to be more proactive. If they're running out of product, then maybe they can't afford to buy it and that comes down to getting maximum amount of money out of your customers. I feel a bit guilty about this review because the food is really good. The restaurant is very bright, it tends to lack warmth. They need to turn down some of the white lights and add a bit of warmth and homeliness to the place. I hope they get their act together and can get over this bit of a bump and they need to start sitting people down and asking straight away if they want some drinks. Cash flow is very important in businesses and if they're not selling food or drinks then they won't survive. I also tried to get the young waitress's attention a number of times when we arrived for drinks and she just seemed not to notice me...

Where do I even start from. Ordered pork and chatpatey as starters, goat and local chicken thakali as mains. Let’s start with taste. Pork was good except the portion size being small. Everything else that me and my partner ordered was below expectation. My partner clearly mentioned that the quality of food was a clear derogation to the Nepalese cuisine and taste. Goat in thakali had no taste and veg curry was full of carrots and radish.

Now lets talk about service. Another disappointment. We had to waive our hands multiple times for the staff to come to us even if the place was empty. We had clearly mentioned while placing order and should be common sense for entree to be served, cleared and then proceed to mains. But we were served thakali when we were not yet done with our starters. Mentioned the guy serving thakali and he said the food is all cooked and was hesitant to take the food back. Later we weren’t even asked if we needed any topup which is common in thakali khana. This shouldn’t be a surprise but we weren’t even asked if we liked the food or not when settling the bill.

Overall experience after paying around $95 for two people looking for good homely meal was utter disappointment and true disgrace to our very own...

Our experience here was quite average. The interior is very big with lots of seating, staff were friendly and service time was good. We selected the momo chicken platter, garlic naan, lamb curry and mango lassi. The momo platter was tasty and included an interesting selection of Nepalese-style dumplings, however, the filling inside was overcooked and limited in portion. The lamb curry had good flavour, however, the texture of the lamb was very dry and hard to swallow. The garlic naan was also too crispy and looked completely different to the menu’s picture. Overall, the quality of the food did not match the price point, as we paid $38 dollars per person for overcooked food. While it’s a cosy, family-friendly restaurant - the quality of the food could be improved.

Will review honestly as I have been to many Nepalese restaurants in Adelaide. Will definitely not be going back to Nepal house. Very low quality food. Ordered steamed chicken momos which tasted so off like even a 6 year old said its tastes so off. Definitely not worth the money. Service was ok but quality was below average. Before that ordered take away a week before dine in - ordered chicken chowmein and they served fetucene pasta and a burnt pork. Attaching pictures. Pathetic is the word for food. Sorry
