I think this place is more to accommodate seniors whilst they play the pokies. Me and my partner both ordered barramundi and were told they had none left by the waiter so we were given menus back to choose something else to also be told they had no salt and pepper squid left keeping in mind its a friday night, i used to be a delivery driver for a food service company for 5 years and i highly doubt they are going to be bothered delivering to a two bit operation like this on a weekend so id hate to see what they have left to cook by Sunday night! My partner ended up ordering grilled garfish and chips from the ever shrinking menu which mind you was already very basic to start with, the garfish was like cardboard, tasteless, stiff, dry as a bone and very small as well as the chips were cold all for a astronomical price of $23. I chose the prawn pasta which was highly recommended by the waiter, when I received it it was drowning in sauce, the pasta was pre packaged, the prawns weren't fresh. Now generally i wouldn't be too fussed and just take it in my stride but when you are paying $28 in a freakin pokies bar you kind of expect a tad better. You can pay that sought of money in a authentic italian restaurant and the pasta will be fresh pasta and taste ten times better than that bowl of sludge i received. So my only words to sum this place up is HOW BARZAAR! HOW BARZAAR!...

We went for lunch during the week. The wait staff were friendly and very attentive. The food is OK, not great not rubbish. My husband had the pulled pork burger which he said was good and I had the salt and pepper squid. The squid wasn't prepared properly though as the membrane was still attached so I had to pull each piece apart to eat it. It's a choking hazard and not at all pleasant to eat, if you eat squid you know this. My husband was a chef for over 20 years so this really was something that stood out for us. It wasn't a huge deal but an eating experience that could have been better and a little more graceful for me. When we passed on this feedback (because we were asked what we thought of the food) it was met with what was defensive annoyance from the chef. Honestly, constructive criticism is not a put down especially when asked. I had a giggle at the response as I was leaving wondering why a professional would try and dismiss genuine and pleasantly delivered feedback over taking it on board and hoping the customer...

I have had such a good experience here it has compelled me to post a review! Just popped in for a simple lunch with my two kids, squid was lovely - fresh and tender, excellent crunchy chips and loads of condiments served with both - my kind of place! But most of all, the service I received from Thomas was outstanding. He was warm and friendly, and went over and above with his service. From making chit chat with my little ones, ferrying us over drink options for them to see, and even distributing a lollypop post meal! Great service, very much...
